Right not making a point with this , just interesting thoughts I think anyhow.

Between 1st Jan and 31st march 2019, 124000 people died in the UK. Between 28th December and 31st march this year , 150000 have died.

Only 1600 were covid-19 deaths , so there was a significant increase in deaths this year anyway.

No idea what the cause of the spike was.

New Years Eve must have been a nightmare this year?

Kind of, but doesnt have to be lack of blood to the lungs, or one lung actually. One lung gets blocked/knackered by an infection can cause heart failure. Hence the need for a vent till lung gets unblocked/mended.

Johnson being just on oxygen means his lungs are working, but not quite well enough to have the level of oxygen saturation in his blood. They would have given him a sat level to reach on his own, probably 94 ish. When he gets above that with oxygen support, they will reduce the level, until he can get to 94 on his own.

Then he will feel utterly knackered.

I think Brisan123 was referring to the way we all die, even just old age......

Would love Trump to get it, he called it a Hoax 6 weeks ago, USA are getting it bad and the commander in chief needs to foot quite a bit of blame.

Could be anything... check the timeframe every year for the last 10 and I'm sure there are other spikes.

Should have scars on your shoulder from it. Think the U.K. stopped making it mandatory in schools at some point not sure when.
The BCG is no longer offered to children in secondary schools in the UK. It was replaced in 2005 with a targeted programme for babies, children and young adults at higher risk of TB. This is because TB rates in this country are low in the general population.

Well yeah, but as this is a respiratory caused virus, the focus will be on the repair or support of the lung function. Serious is vent. Support is oxygen, which in reality, is a tank you can quite easily carry around if you need a poo. And I can set up.

Well yeah, think 2008-9 was a massive death rate for flu compared to 600 last year.

As i say, just thought it was big enough to mention whilst doing some pointless reading. 24000 deaths is a lot in any instance in such a short space of time. Yet no clear reason as to why.

Not arsed enough to go back every year, probably get a little depressing reading too much into it.

Yeh it's a lot but it's strange to think Jan-March every year in a country will have the same amount of deaths isn't it? People drop dead all the time there's no real pattern to it.

An old mate of mine in Wales used to have an oxygen tank which we carried around when taking him to the Rugby Club for a pint.....he’s dead now.....
