What do people think of this conspiracy theory it's 3g, 4g, 5g responsible for these virus outbreaks.

From what I've gathered Covid-19 belongs to the same family of viruses like SARS that originated in mammals, mainly Bats I think and it's mutated into a new strain, or so we are told...<plays X-files music>

Woah, spooky.

Also, just as I read this post, my dog barked.
Co-incidence??????

What changes would be made if said common sense types were making the decisions right now?
Where do you want start begining of COVID19, The many years of warnings about health and social care unable to cope any longer. Or pertinent Exercise Sygnus from October 2016?

Can you really budget and plan for a 1 in a 100 year pandemic? Really? Even if labour had been in power we wouldn't have been able to cope
No,but one could have acted on the findings of operation Cygnus rather than hide them, or even start to raise levels of preparedness in January if one was to choose the short-term option of not controlling the spread over national borders.

You maybe can’t budget for it, but you can absolutely plan for a 1 in a 100 year pandemic. Particularly when the last one was around 100 years ago.

We plan and mitigate for rare occurrences all the time, as although statistically rare, they are guaranteed to happen over a long timeframe.

Mate, the death rate being even somewhat "acceptable" in your eyes is because we have isolation and prevention measures in place. Without them, who knows what the numbers would be? Personally, if you told me there was a virus that wiped out over 10,000 Italians in a month, I would want to know what it was and how we could stop it.

And, aside from the fact that this thing kills, there is a huge amount of people who don't die but have severe symptoms or will go into a critical condition. Our health system isn't built for this. I don't know what it is you want but, personally, if staying indoors for a while means there's significantly less chance of condemning grannies to die in the most horrific fashion, then I'm happy to do it
In your honest opinion how long is a while? If this is still going come August will you still be of the same opinion? There's only so long a country can close without doing long term irreparable damage, as trump said the cure cannot be worse than the disease, yes by doing what we are doing we are saving thousands of lives while ignoring the fact that the longer this goes on the worse the economic impact will be and the more lives will be lost to suicide. And what about the hidden deaths from this? The health service and pretty much the entire society have tunnel vision on this, how many people who are feeling poorly now are terrified to go to hospital and putting it off only to have their complaint turn into something more serious and die from that because it wasn't caught early. We are all about saving lives which is fine but you all seem to be showing a disregard for the lives that will be lost because of this not from the virus. Does that even cross your mind, have you even taught of those lives or have you got tunnel vision on this like most of the rest of society? Let's save the grannies while condemning others to die, is that your solution they won't be able to save everyone but it seems the majority of people can't see that, there will have to be choices made on who lives or who dies, they had to do it in Italy. And just because you and others on here don't want that to be a discussion because I assume you think it's heartless, cold and all around not nice to talk about, it's not going to change the fact that these choices will have to be made.
