But you keep saying they should be replaced, yet have not offered up any alternatives. Your solution is ‘just not them’. Personally out of all the politicians we have I’d rather have the ones we have than any others available....
You're missing the point by a country mile. It wouldn't matter what individuals replaced them, because it'd be people who dont belong to the economic nationalist cult that runs this country now and who are killing thousands of our people...and they can be from across the party divide.

But you carry on being very "edgy" and posing "pointed" questions that get on other people's tits.

That‘s Ok, I understand you don’t have any answers, just complaints......

It's hard to suggest alternatives when, if you disagree with the whole political structure as @davek does, you don't have the options in front of you. It's like being asked 'which top flight English football league would you like?' when you say you don't like the Premier League. One can have ideas of what they would like that to contain, but it cannot be named until it's given the opportunity to exist.

And why would you rather these to any others we have available?

I understand where he’s coming from, but to just keep saying they should be replaced without once suggesting by whom just smacks of hating the Tories for the sake of it. He knows that if he suggests any current Labour politician the laughter will be heard by the dead and God only knows who else he may suggest because he won’t say.

I don’t rate many of today’s politicians, I’ve said so many times. The CS and Medics are running this show and the politicians are just there to do their bidding on this one, so it doesn’t really matter who is there. The politicians know that if they don’t follow their advice they will be stitched up like a kipper.....

trans: don’t blame Johnson for this

But that implies you don’t quite understand where he’s coming from or where I am. He’s no suggesting an individual because one cat exist within this political structure. It’s it true they would be laughed at. This Tory government is shockingly bad in pretty much every aspect. Unthinking, unintelligent, and poor statesmen.

Your final paragraph here suggests your previous line that you’d prefer these to anyone else to be wrong? Is it? Or is there something in particular that makes this lot better than others?

My point is that it doesn’t really matter. Both Policy wise and Operationally it is being driven by the CS and the Medics, the politicians are just the visible mouthpiece and the ones who sign the cheques. I’d like to know precisely who is responsible, operationally for delivering these tests. We employ thousands of CS and PHE and NHS people on six figure salaries, which one is responsible for doing this ?....

The executive.

Do you believe Johnson is superman, single handedly managing every program across government, while negotiating our exit from the EU and dealing with a Pandemic that this generation has never experienced before. Or do you believe that actually the hundreds of thousands of CS might just have something to do with it. The PM and his Ministers are responsible for policy and agreeing to the finance Having been advised what to do by the CMO and CSA. The ministers lay the policy down within their various departments and then it is they who must deliver. That’s what they get paid for. If the policy is wrong, blame the PM. If the policy is not being carried out or badly managed then point the finger at those who get paid to do it. So far, the only thing that we can point at with any pride is the Nightingale Hospital, and the Army drove that one.......

Oh and before anyone jumps in, I’m referring to delivering specific projects by PHE and not the sterling work being done in hospitals and surgeries by our medical staff........

2,000 tests on an NHS frontline workforce of 600,000.

You unspeakable [Poor language removed].

Pete - he is in charge, he sets the policy (remember the centralisation under Cummings that forced the Chancellor to quit?) and he is ultimately responsible for it being carried out.

That is how the British governmental system works - elected politicians decide, civil servants implement.

Blaming the civil servants for implementing and suggesting policy is, as you know because it’s why you are doing it, only ever done to absolve politicians of responsibility.

Not superhuman at all just a chancer who jumped on a ideaology to further himself. A man of little of substance or principles. He has been found out, and unfortunately for many in the gravest circumstances.
Absolutely joy to see the Barclay brother put the boot in today's paper like mail times etc. Maybe they should have had the foresight before. Indeed, Telegraph Barclay Brothers in the extreme risk demographic. Probably tightened sphincters.
