We can only go on the data available.

If this murderous government fail to provide testing on the scale of other countries then they pay the price of being seen as governing a nation being left behind.

Let them make good their promises on testing. Until then it is what it is.

listen the testing and our attitude towards it seems shambolic , no argument from me on that and that’s been an obvious issue from day one . I just feel the available data seems inaccurate and if it’s used to really go after them it could undermine other more valuable criticisms in the future .

I take the opposite view: the data may be inaccurate in terms of just how far this banana republic of ours lags behind, but there's a lag. The reason for withholding full data tells its own story, and I fail to see how highlighting that lag now will undermine any inquiry into their catastrophic handling of this crisis.

You‘ve well and truly drank the Kool Aid here Pete. The fella’s in hospital because he didn’t follow the advice of scientists and was blustering about shaking the hands of Covid patients.
And early doors wasted time listening to the 'herd immunity' rubbish.

Infuriating.

You'd have thought that he'd just do the self-isolation thing regardless as an example to the public, but no, of course not, he gets a test on demand while everyone else doesn't.

How do they expec to the country to take seriously the massive campaign to stay in and helo the NHS when they see the people issuing the demand flouting it by queue jumping?

They are an unspeakable bunch of scum.

Germany now has more people who have recovered from coronavirus than active cases, just over 50% of those have recovered.

In Spain, 37% of the 166,831 people infected have recovered.

In Italy 22% of 156,363 have recovered.

In France 21% of 133,670 have recovered.

In the UK 85,208 people have tested positive, but only 0.3% have so far recovered.

Just look at those figures. An utter 'kin disgrace.

The Tory cult have spent the past 5 years talking about Britain being able to go it alone in the world: "the 5th largest economy".

Under them the country is completely humbled. An international disaster zone.

The latest figures I have seen for recovery is 1918 – which equates to 2.28%, if based on the latest figure of 84,279. The figures are misleading though. As the recovery figures are not being released with any consistency. The latest release I seen was 8 April.

I have a question though – How many new cases can actually recover? Are coronavirus deaths being counted with the new cases (as well as the deaths), if they are tested post mortem?

If not…

I would measure the recovery figures against confirmed cases from 14 days prior to the current day. I am not sure how long it would take to actually recover from this, but a guess would be maybe 21 days? If we supposed that on average, each patient tested already had the virus 7 days, then it would mean 1918 total recoveries on 8 April vs 11,809 confirmed cases on 26 March. This would give us 16.24% recovery figure. This is not an exact science – just estimating really.

The whole thing is a complete mess. I believe deliberately so.

Smacks of a two tier testing regime now, the have's and the have not's. That test should have went to a front line care worker. Why make rules for everyone and just break them, because you can, does not set any example whatsoever.

Not a surprise though sadly eh?

The only surprise is we got to know about it.
His snotty daughter had a sore throat and he jumped the queue to get one for her while a frontline nurse or doctor are requiring one to make sure they;re not infecting others in the act of trying to save them.

That's the system some people think is worth saving.

There'll be things left in and left out of the calculations from other nations, but they are at least trying to keep track of it. This lot, as you rightly say, are leaving it as an unfathomable mess...for their own ends. Their stock in trade is not to illuminate and protect us, it's to brush things under the carpet in order to cover up the scene of a mass murder.

It seems to be only us and Netherlands that aren't updating the recovered figures. Not really sure why that is. But yeah - It is an unfathomable mess. The numbers just don't add up.

The only reason he's had to come clean is because he was spotted jogging while he should of been on a 14 day quarantine

We would never have known otherwise, but I wonder how many more of the cabinet and 'elites' have jumped the queue for themselves or family members

Despicable bunch

If anyone's interested, there's a petition here

Out of all the politicians and experts I have watched, the standout one has to be Andrew Cuomo the NY Gov.

I make a point of catching his pressers on youtube, he makes the rest look like utter amateurs.
