Need to get Stubbsy and Weir back, bring them on for corners.

We have plenty of capable players in our team to score goals...

It needs the mentality to change & the expectations of the teams aspirations...

Goals need to come from all aspects of the teams line up then you have the drive to progress further as the reliance is not only on one or two players...

We are utterley rubbish from corners...and whats worse is that we have keane&mina who should be a constant threat....cant understand why its not worked on

It's the variation that we need from corners & set pieces...

The unexpected & difference from the norm, the sharper angle,element of surprise or the bluffed run etc,etc,etc...

Low hard crosses, near post runs, flick ons,dummies & getting bodies in the box all contribute to getting goals from variation...

Catching teams by surprise by being able to score from all elements of the team is a added bonus & strength all great teams usually have as their speciality....

This is encouraging as I believe it has been a weakness in our game this year....

Let's hope it starts to pay off soon as we do need goals shared amongst the team more if we are to challenge the top six this season...

This week would be a great start in the derby game, a winner coming from a set piece move practiced midweek in training would be an excellent morale & confidence booster for the team.

We did score from a boss set piece move this season, think Walcott bundled it in.

But in general though, specifically corners, I never feel as though we're about to do anything exciting when we win one.

Remember back in the day when we had Hinchcliffe fizzing the ball in for Dunc, the excitement and anticipation everytime we got a corner. Now when we get one my first thought is the goalscoring chance is already over, let's not get caught on the break.

Other teams are more than happy to concede corners against us. Says it all that I crap my pants every time we play it out and they never break a sweat running it out of play.

I often wish we tried some clever moves at set pieces instead of just crossing it in or blasting it over the bar.
We need to unsettle the opposing defence more.

I thought Lookman took a couple of good corners from the left. I say good, they didnt hit the first man like 99% of most corners or freekicks currently.
