CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

All gone Peter Tong in here.

Why do people expect Martinez to join us if he supposedly turned down Liverpool?

Precisely because he turned down Liverpool. He turned them down because he didn't like the idea of being a coach without control over transfers and other first team matters, which Liverpool have delegated to directors of football, technical director and so on. None of that at Everton. Provided he gets the Moyes treatment (i.e. as much control as we can give him) I think Martinez would come here.

Amazing what I just got an infraction for, given what I and others could have got an infraction for in this thread  Picked on again FFS...

Anyway, back on topic as requested, I don't think Martinez will end up at Everton, because I don't think Moyes will leave. He'll feed his ego trip with this speculation and then pen the bumper contract because there's no other option open for him.

No, it really, really isn't.

Thanks.

Nooooo wasn't criticising mate, you've got me wrong. It's just that I and several others could have had around fifty in this thread. Should have, actually. :)

With 80k posts a month, moderated by a handful of volunteers - shockingly, every post isn't moderated.

"I got away with it before so why am I being pulled up for it now"
"I'm being picked on..."
"Others say worse and get away with it...."

Cry, cry, cry.

Cringe.

We infract what we see, fairly.

When you opt to put something in super size, then chances are, we'll see it...

Behave.

I was actually just laughing it off, not complaining. I myself said things ten times worse a few pages ago, that's why I found it funny; it was like dodging a load of cars on a motorway and then getting ran over by a Segway!

so your saying he would turn down chelsea aswell.
No one knows why he turned down liverpool at first everyone said because he wouldnt have money to spend then when it was clear they had money everyone said it was becuase he wouldnt get to bring in the players he wanted, that cant be true.

Allen and borini clearly players wanted by rodgers and he got them.

even if wigan get relegated I can see martinez staying there, he is still very young.
The next everton manager will need to bring in a new team to replace the ageing team we have now, and martinez isnt the man to do that.

impressed with Wigan today, played football from the back no hoof ball even when a couple went astray kept trying to play from the back. Martinez has got a bit of everything in his first team, pace , power and players that like to receive the ball. Know it was only Huddersfield but you could see who was the premier team not like times on Saturday

Problem is that his teams have a habit of flopping hard from game to game. It's really hard to gauge how good or otherwise Martinez is as he hasn't managed at a high level. He'd be a gamble at Everton, but then so was Moyes - a bigger gamble actually.

I am 99% certain this is a load of crap because it comes from the Daily Mail, but there's an interesting line buried away in this article about Wenger's future being in doubt, and them being linked with Moyes:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ne-Wenger-resign-FA-Cup-defeat-Blackburn.html

Aware of Wenger's perilous position, Moyes has told Everton he is unlikely to discuss his own future until the summer when his current deal runs out.

Despite his close relationship with owner Bill Kenwright, there is irritation inside Everton at Moyes's tactics, which they regard as a form of blackmail to push for new signings.

Wonder what the source is for this so-called 'irritation' news? The journo's stirring mind, perhaps?
