I agree mate its definately not one of Moyes strong points And he's always reluctent to change his system if its not working even if it seems everybody else can see its not working. He always goes for the safe option which has brought us and him stability but to push on now i think we would need either better players or a more tactically aware manager.

As an example, against United. We started pretty well actually, even after the Giggs goal we were OK.

But when chasing the game, Ferguson had Jones attached to Fellaini, swapped Cleverley and Giggs around, shut the space for the route one ball to Felli, latched a man on Jelavic and eased the game out. Moyes offered no Plan B whatsoever; Ferguson taught him a lesson that day tactically, albeit with a side expected to beat us.

Don't agree with me mate, it'll get you in trouble.

Tubey you're not a mod mate so stop acting like one.

Just let them get on with their jobs, they have enough to keep track of as it is without you kicking up a fuss.

Whos crying now?

I got 2 infractions, for swearing.

Calling somebody a Kopite, as far as im aware, its infraction worthy.

And you, are a Kopite.

See, I'd expect you to be banned for that, because even after a "reprimanding" you're still carrying on - and you've entered this thread with NO provocation whatsoever to have a pop.

Yet you won't be, obviously.

How could I know, I don't see the red card under the post - which, strangely, there is for mine.

I use the word "troll", infraction.

Someone uses the word "kopite", no infraction but a "reprimanding", whatever that means.

Consistency required.

Sorry Tubey but we don't have to justify 'consistency' to you I'm afraid. You have to just accept that we are doing the best we can to police the place. If you don't like that, then write to Danny.

**swings in** you heard the LAPD?? listen to them then. come on people. i dont want to turn this into a bloody Sunday but by the sweet power of the Lord i will kitt you all to within one inch of your posting life.

Fail lad, fail.

Awwww little baby stuck his nose in and got his pants pulled down.

Bless.

Yeah, you're just being a top poster and not being provocative at all. And you call me a troll. The hypocrisy of you calling me a saddo is clearly lost on you.

Tactics don't win games, players do

Thats completly wrong :P

Obviously the better standard of player the more likely it is to win games regardless of tactics, but for your average team tactics are very important.

Use Man United and City as an example. I for one think City have a better squad than United, in fact Uniteds is nowhere near as good as some previous squads. Yet Ferguson has them with a big lead in the league. Sure, having RVP helps but the way they can grind out so many victories without being as good a team as their points tally suggests comes down to his use of tactics to get the absolute most out of that team, as opposed to relying on the players quality like Mancini does to a bigger extent.

Its about using your squad fully, getting the best out of players, playing to your strengths, yet its also about stoping the opposition, about making little adjustments during the match, about making players play 10 yards deeper/ more advanced when needed and lost of other things.

I think with Moyes, yeah it isn't his strong point. Obviously compared to the likes of you and me he should be far better at it, yet compared to his peers its an area where he doesn't seem to do as well (but in others he excels).

Take 2004/5 for example : a huge part of us finishing 4th was him installing the hard work ethic into the team, but it was also using thr 4-5-1 and the players we had in that system, suited us perfectly at the time.

If you've got 2 squads of players of equal ability then the one who's manager has the bets grasp of tactics will perform better than the other.

Top three posts in response to severe antagonism, including the words "bellend" and "Kopite". Which you conveniently didn't quote. Because that's what you do.
