CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

Because it was a fairly even game until we really started pressing, then it swung the wrong way so he cahnged it. Looked like seeing the obvious and changing it to me.

We were gash for the majority of the second half, but he didn't make a change until the 80th minute, which was a centre half taking the place of a striker. What other managers in the top 8 would take a striker off and bring a centre half on when chasing a game against a lower league side ?

If our midfield was so non-existant then why on earth did he not take Neville off and bring Heitinga on, rather than taking off Jelavic ? Not like we were playing United and getting destroyed in midfield, it was Bolton.

The goal was lucky, and it was the goal which won us the game. Without it Moyes would have been rightly criticised for allowing the team to play s**t football for 30 minutes before changing anything.

Also works for the Wigan lad ?

I don't trust Wigan though... bunch of sneaky no gooders.
Changed my mind, lets not get him just in case. They are already stealing one of our forum mottos look and they don't even know anything about it.
Ba***ds.
IMWT(bnw).. but not Wigan :)

What was lucky about it? It was a great strike, by the substitute he'd brought on.

He didn't get criticised because we won the game, so it's a pointless discussion.

No we were still the better team but we were pushed too far ahead and started getting battered on the counter, the change was to bring on a DM for an inefective striker in order to help build the play and turn defense into attack instead defense into a shambolic defense, and it worked, our play improved and theirs got worse.
If he had done that before when they were not using the counter attack as effectively because we were not chasing the win as hard, it would of been a fair criticism, as it was it was a decent sub that paid out more than Moyes could of hoped, but was largely effective in doing what he was clearly put there to do, get us the ball and help make some better chances.

IMO Mourinho to Chelsea is already done. Hence why around same time rumours of Mourinho leaving in summer came about, fat spanish waiter was only given a 6-7month deal, expiring in...the summer. Plus all those reports of Mourinho buying a house in West London and his daughter enrolling in arts college there to begin in September, too much coincidence for my liking.

Despite this, I know a few chelsea fans who are adamant it is going to be Moyes

I'm a fan of Moyes but this situation makes me think less of him. If the current standoff persists, say for the next month, then the board should sack him and get his replacement in before the end of the season to have a look at the players and decide who should be sold for the inevitable rebuilding project that will ensue. Moyes wouldn't tolerate a contract situation like this with a player, likewise the board shouldn't tolerate it with him. I understand Moyes' frustration but no individual is bigger than this club and if he is unhappy he should resign. Getting a new man in after the end of the season would be a disaster and the board will have made the decision of who to ship out not the manager and that cannot bode well.

I don't get it. What's wrong with him being totally up front and saying 'i haven't decided whether i'm going to sign a new contract yet' ?

i criticised him for it, it wasn't an attacking sub in any way. was just bringing on fresh legs in a DM position. It was not a move intended to win the game outright, which is what should have been done with about 20 mins left, considering we were playing a mid-table championship club

It was a move that resulted in us winning the game, so seriously, who's right - you or Moyes?
