What is it about Solskjaer that makes him so attractive ? I mean he won the league with Molde, but the quality of that league is probably below the Championship.

I agree, ut's of a lower quality and more importantly it probably has a lower quality of managers.

Certainly his european record isn't anything to boast about.

But he's managed there two years and won the league both times with a club who's never won it before. That's quite impressive, regardless.

If we went with your low cost option we'd theoretically add £40k per week to the wage fund for players, which is another positive.

Personally I'd rather we reinvested Moye's salary into an established european manager of the Emery, Cuper, Rehhagel type. The kind of manager who's done reliable jobs in the other big european leagues in managing the likes of valencia and bremen and udinese and knows what it takes to compete with the big boys for champions league places and cups without spending too much. But maybe that's shortsighted.

Hector Cuper hasn't had a decent job in 10 years since getting sacked by Inter. His style of football makes Emery look like Bielsa.

Someone I think would be a simliar kind of risk to what Moyes was would be Poyet. Hes been around the game a long while in several countries and is respected in what he has done with an unfashionable club.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be incredibly risky, but that's a good record.

For me to be convinced though i'd need to see him do it somewhere else, and then come here. I'm very hard to please though.
