CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

I dont blame him one bit- I expect he is waiting to see what budget he has to work with which in turn means how well we do in the league and cups etc.

If they say we didnt do very well so you have no budget, the £8.6m phantom money for Fer has disappeared and you have £2m to invest in the team then I wouldnt blame him for keeping his options open.

Think you are silly to call him names for doing this.

Shoudn't he already have an idea what budget he will have in the summer? Him and kenwright are always talking so he should have an idea. Sounds to me that Moyes is waiting to see if we either win the FA Cup or qualify for the champions league knowing that if we don't then several players are prepared to jump ship and he will be the captain of the ship.

I have some sympathy for Moyes, but I think he's used this type of reasoning way too many tiimes. He's implied on lots of occasions, both before his last contract renewal and this one, that he wants to wait and see ambition and progress before he'll commit. There never is any improvement off the pitch and we've pretty much plateaued out or worse in the last half decade on it.

In short, the only way his words will carry weight come the summer is if we've qualified for the CL (or at the very least EL) and/or investment is given toward squad strengthening. He wont be taken seriously if he re-signs without any of that happening. His credibility is at stake.

Can you blame him? Coming up to 11 years of having not a lot to play with- if he has no budget again I can see it as a moment where he looks at his career.

Can't blame him at all. But I don't like not knowing what's going on next season, and i'm suprised (actually i'm probably not) the board are letting him do this.

Can totally understand his position, I bet its infuriating working under Kenwright.

It makes us look terribly weak though, like we're hanging on Moyes every word. Moyes FC, is the message this sends out. Bill wont have a clue about replacements either and I bet he wont look unless Moyes goes.

Wouldn't accept it from a player and I'm afraid we shouldn't accept it from the manager. Thanks David for sone great memories and thanks for digging us out of the **** but don't hold the club and it's loyal fans to ransom. We deserve more than that.

Can you please explain how he is holding loyal fans to ransom? What demands has he made on the 'loyal fans'? None.

When it comes to trust, I trust Moyes to act in the best interests of the club over Kenwright and the board every single day of the week.

I would actually trust the GOT collective to come up with a better decision on a new manager than I would Kenwright and co. Sure, Kenwright got Moyes, but lets be honest, even a blind squirrel finds a nut occasionally.
