He is doing the right thing really,

If we make Champions league he will stick around.

If we don’t why de-stablise the club by saying he is not going to sign? At least he has got that bit right.

I only hope that BK is looking for other options as CL is very remote at this point

He's doing the right thing for himself.

I'm sure he could sign a cushy £4m+ p.a. long term deal tomorrow if he wanted to & secure his future in a job that'd leave him as one of the best paid managers in the World, in one of the safest seats - due to his track record.

Instead he's making us all sweat, but notably Bill, with his decision to hang fire & see what's on the table in terms of ambition from the club & how this compares with what might be available to him elsewhere in the game.

So he's doing what's best for him in respect of keeping his options open, but he may well be doing the best thing for all of us, by keeping Bill's balls firmly in the vice. If he signs a new long term deal now, he could be left with his begging bowl out again in July, by not signing he's ensuring that the power remains his.

I don't like the uncertainty, but there's **** all we can do about it & it cranks the pressure up on Kenwright by another couple of notches...

ex-****ing-actly

This. I bet if he has got a shortlist (which seems unlikely) there are some whoppers on there. Dave Jones, Gary Megson, Alan Curbishley *shudders

This actually scares the life out of me, because its something that could happen. They'll need a replacement who will be:
A) Happy to work under certain constraints
and
B) Work on a budget

Exactly , very good point and a shewed move

He turns up at BK office, as says. "Back me or I go"

Yes, that is a fact that has no relevance to the situation.

Interesting that you seem happy that if he decides to leave in the summer it leaves the club without a manager and Bill Kenwright to pick a newcomer in a short space of time giving us no time to rebuild the team in the new managers way.

But as longs as Moyes is happy who cares about Everton Football Club hey?

Sorry for having a different opinion to you. Didn't realise it wasn't allowed.

Agree with this. Nothing we can do about it. And I very much don't like the thought of pressure being on Kenwright as I fear pressure may make him make the wrong decision.

He must be off. What's the point in seeing what the board can come up with? They clearly can't come up with anything other than a takeover, however unlikely. As for seeing how the team do, isn't that one upto HIM ?

If I was in charge I would say sign now or we get someone else in. Seems like he is weighing up his own options and thinking of no one but himself. I find that a bit disloyal. I would give him the ultimatum and if he refuses to sign kick him into touch before the season ends. He is not bigger than the club.

This is my feeling too and put better then I ever could. I shall rep you.

1) How is that Moyes' fault?! Kenwright and the board should constantly have alternative mangers in mind.

2) I haven't said anything of the sort, Everton > Moyes every day of the week, but I happen to think Moyes is the only person within the club who can force Kenwright's hand so we don't have to sell to buy every summer.

3) Did I say you couldn't have a different opinion? Stop being so precious.

The thing is, Moyes can do this but the board should be looking to seek a replacement now, rather than running around like headless chickens looking for a replacement at the end of the season because we all know that is what will happen.
