I remember reading that Howard Kendall had the chance to sign Cantona when he was still in France.

He said something like 'it was like turning down the Mona Lisa because you thought it was fake, and it turned out to be the real one'.

Just found this too....

“I made a number of enquiries and everyone said the same thing: “He’s totally unsuitable for English football.” Needless to say, I acted on that information and turned him down” – Howard Kendall on Eric Cantona

Anyway it's a big six months for the board.

If they can convince Moyes to sign on again at a reasonable wage, then well done everyone. He'll continue to supply the stability and respectability that he's given us and we'll probably remain a challenger for europe.

If he doesn't want to sign or he wants a wage we can't afford then thank you very much for the eleven years of service but the board needs to be spending these last months lining up replacements who can push us forward or at least keep us in mid table respectability.

There's no excuse given the current status of the club for us to go cheap and bring in a megson or a round. It would be the last straw for Kenwright for loads of evertonians and I hope he realises that.

This bit petrifies me.

For me they should be doing this already. I bet they haven't even given it a second thought.

I agree, it's a massive few months for the club, hopefully Moyes will stay, if he opts to move on, Kenwright needs to deliver a top drawer replacement & not a Phil Neville / AN other combo ffs.

No one is bigger than the club, not even Moyes himself. Start looking at replacements now.

It's Paul Dickov's chance to finally come to Everton.

Hold onto Your seats folks , This Summer is going to be another Rough Uncertain ride. Club dragged through the mire again .. all left till the very last minute as per
