Yeah, and i'd also take Villareal out of that list because they were better than us but even though we lost we didn't roll over.

So does that list include every team outside of Chelsea/Arsenal and Man U to knock a Moyes Everton out of a cup? If so i'd say every team is either equal to us or worse than us.

And just like in the league, he can have us raise our game and beat teams better than us (we've had some good cup results in that way) but often struggles when we play teams worse than us or the big pressure is on.

Reading at home is the big one to me. We were on such great form in the league then and had just knocked chelsea out of the cup at their place.

I think the word bottling is overused on here. But that game, we bottled.

And looking at them all, i don't see any that stand out where we could say we were unlucky or played well but just lost to a better side on the day.

Every single one of them including the euros away we played gash and the other team just had to fight a bit more and got the win.

I just don't think Moyes, excellent league manager as he is, can get players to raise their games in the big matches. The semis, the finals, the derbys etc. Big Joe could, he could get average players to run through walls and walk on water in those big games. It's why I'll take him over any manager we've had since, myself.

And it's why I think we can get someone who'll improve on Moyes.

To get to the Semi's & finals you have to play & win big matches.

Big Joe managed us in an era when we could buy Uniteds best player btw

He doesn't deal well with pressure and expectation, that's why I think none of the big clubs or wannabe big clubs have gone near him.

Amazing what winning trophies does to a club's profile isn't it? That we could attract Man Utd's best player to us despite having Agent Johnson as our chairman and a team fighting off relegation says a lot about Royle, for me.

Nice avoidance of the point, as if we win the FA Cup in May we won't be in a position to attract or pay for - Rooney or Van Persie. Different era lad.

Berbatov to Fulham, lad.
