Big Joe was great like but he lost 6 games in a row towards the end of his tenure. Something Moyes probably wouldn't get away with nowadays.
Why no Chelsea?
AGENDA
Shrewsbury, Middlesbrough, Fulham, Villarreal, Dinamo Bucharest, Blackburn, Oldham, Fiorentina, Standard Liege, Birmingham, Sporting Lisbon, Brentford, Reading, Dalglish’s Liverpool on a run of 11 losses in 19 games and Leeds.
Great league manager, dodgy cup manager.
I don't blame him for getting bummed by Chelsea, Arsenal and Man U in cups so they're left off.
That's just coming up against a better team so fair enough. Shrewsbury and the kopites at wembley, though? That's all him.

Your kidding right?
Im fairly sure Moyes could go a whole Season without a win and still not be sacked.
He didn't give a fiddler's about the cup in his first few seasons.
Stabilising us in the PL and getting us up the table was priority numero uno.
Was thinking more about the fans' reaction than Uncle Bill's.
I dunno.
I mean do you recall the Shrewsbury game? We played a full team, when a manager does all he can, its kinda on the players, I mean did Moyes tell Distin to pass it to Sewerz at Wembley?
Cos if he doesnt, we win that game.

Our players always play cup games like they don't care, though. Isn't it the Managers' job to get them to step it up a gear in the dressing room?
It's not the team selection, it's the performances. A club with a real winning mentality like Utd don't look scared in those games. I dunno, I think our mentality's wrong for cup games and I think a lot of that comes from Moyes.
Mission accomplished.
Now what?
I dunno, maybe we have a squad full of losers?
I mean, I know Neville has won stuff, anybody else?
