If you compare royle and moyes, that would have been his 17th season. (Both had a half season where they kept us up, followed by a season in the top 7, followed by a season of backsliding into gashness.)

Which means if he'd stayed on another year we would have finished top 4. SCIENCE.

It's not the team selection, it's the performances. A club with a real winning mentality like Utd don't look scared in those games. I dunno, I think our mentality's wrong for cup games and I think a lot of that comes from Moyes.

Yeah, and i'd also take Villareal out of that list because they were better than us but even though we lost we didn't roll over.

So does that list include every team outside of Chelsea/Arsenal and Man U to knock a Moyes Everton out of a cup? If so i'd say every team is either equal to us or worse than us.

And just like in the league, he can have us raise our game and beat teams better than us (we've had some good cup results in that way) but often struggles when we play teams worse than us or the big pressure is on.
