I'm leaving the forum now as a protest against this tyranny. No other option really.
What you should do is spend years in a prison plotting revenge, discover a huge pile of treasure and serve me my just deserts whilst posing as a nobleman. Your move azul....

I'M BONAPARTIST MODS. THAT'S RIGHT YOU HEARD ME.

See you in ten years bmg.
In the meantime ill be ****ing your bird and living in a enormous house and shagging loads more birds behind her back to make her utterly miserable because I'm a total cad. I'll also be raising your son, so your welcome in advance.

Fergie is too stubborn to retire, he'll probably die in the job. Also UTD could do a lot better than Moyes, They'd be more likely to try n poach the Dortmund coach than ginger bollocks.

Jose.

That's the only reason. Not Moyes.

Actually, now thinking it through properly, this is why Man Utd will choose Moyes over Mourinho:

- Man Utd want a manager who is in it for the long-term (Moyes 11 blue years backs that up...Mourinho gets cold feet after 2 or 3 years at the same club).

- Man Utd PLC want a manager who will publicly back the board, not rock any corporate boats, not cause any controversy which might be bad for the brand name and generally just get on with the job (Moyes over Mourinho obviously).

- the board will also want someone who has proven the players he buys in can be sold for more later on (Mourinho generally buys players already near their peak price, Moyes is a more proven profit-maker in the transfer market).

- Mourinho has a 20m buy-out clause...would the Glazers want to pay that? Moyes would be free, and his wages wouldn't be as sky-high as Mourinho's.

The Glazers are a different kettle of fish to the brazen moneybags behind Chelsea, Inter & Real. The Glazers don't give a frak about football, and they appear very steely when it comes to how money is spent at Old Trafford. A cowboy like Mourinho wouldn't suit them (tho' to be fair to Mourinho he's actually been relatively effective in the transfer market).

So in terms of the financials and politicals, Moyes is a sound choice. The only risk to Man Utd would be if Moyes is able to step up a gear and actually win trophies (which clearly Mourinho can do).

Klopp has ruled himself out and promised Dortmund he's staying (he seems the honest type), Heynckes is almost as old as Ferguson, Löw wants to win a trophy for Germany before trying club football and the less high-end outsiders like Giggs, Neville, Solksjaer, Blanc, Laudrup, Phelan etc all lack long-term experience.

Sir Ferg has said that when he retires he will announce it suddenly and bluntly.

Watch this space!

I wonder if one of the main issues with Utd is shareholder confidence. They would want to see a smooth transition between fergie and his successor ie to a manager with a proven record of success. Would Tesco shareholders have been happy to see the bloke from Aldi take over from Leahy even though the fella turns a decent profit?

From reading the posts on here, it would seem that Moyes USP is finding rough diamonds, polishing them up and selling them on at a profit. Whilst this would be an attractive proposition, Fergies successor would be expected to do this plus maintain their 'top one' position.

On this basis, I reckon Moyes record qualifies him to be Chief Scout at Utd, nothing more.
