CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

In the 11 years before Moyes, how many cup finals did we get to?

If we're allowed to include the Zenith Data Systems Cup, then 2:

The 1991 Zenith Data Systems Cup Final at Wembley vs Crystal Palace (we lost 4-1 after extra time), and the 1995 FA Cup Final, obviously beating Man Utd 1-0.

yet 84% think its well run, the problem is too many of our fans are ill informed regarding what actual goes on at the club, most people I know dont want Kenwright but always say the same old "he cant leave if theirs no one willing to buy" but they dont realise that the club is up for a high price as they dont read forums, inform themselves.

If it came down to a choice between keeping Kenwright or Moyes though, Moyes would win hands down.

Moyes was scouting Vitesse midfielder Marco Van Ginkel and Wilfred Bony on the weekend.

If he's scouting players for next season, then that surely means one thing?

Don't really see the point in going to Holland just to watch players your not going to sign.

We didn't sign a player for two years but I'm pretty certain moyes scouted a few. Moyes is the manager of everton and whilst he is he absolutely has to carry out his duties , not that it'd ever happen but he'd leave himself open to all minds of legal implications if he just effectively 'downed tools' .

In my opinion I honestly don't think his scouting players will impact on whether he's staying or not , moyes may well look at the players and even be planning a move but if say United made an approach tomorrow do you think his desire to sign a player would effect that ?

That said I'm not surprised he's looking at bony again if that's true as we came close to signing him last Window.

Moyes KNOWS he will get the square root of **** all extra money out of this board in terms of investment to kick on. The tv money will go on wages and the rest will be squirreled away for future debt repayment. He KNOWS the board wont bring new money in via attracting an investor or by generating cash internally by diluting their shareholding. He KNOWS that his request for backing only amounts to a situation he had in the wake of the Lescott deal when it seems he got the bulk of cash for team rebuilding. For Moyes to still be seeking assurances and details regarding that last source of 'backing' via sell-to-buy should fill everyone with horror.

IMO, where we stand at the moment is that Kenwright and the board know Moyes hasn't had concrete offers from other clubs and they're playing hard ball with his request to get all incoming cash from transfers.

It's absolutely tragic. The money that comes into this club and goes through the hands of these carpet baggers wasted (our North Sea oil); and a manager of 11 years standing who is willing to put up with that situation. I dont know who I've got more contempt for: the board or Moyes.

I've seen/heard a few people mention the new TV money and how it'll be used to improve the team in the summer, but if that was going to be the case I think Moyes would have signed by now.

I was convinced he was off a few weeks ago, but I'm starting to think he'll see his arse soon and settle for spending whatever money comes in from player sales. It's looking increasingly unlikely that a bigger club than Everton will come knocking.

Or he could just send one of our scouts to go and watch them? Weir has gone and scouted most of our targets this season. If you go to Holland and watch players yourself then you surely have a desire to sign them for next season. I'm sure Moyes would be looking at better players with a bigger budget at another club as well.

I'm not arguing mAte but moyes has regularly flown out to watch players and we haven't signed them all or probably even that many . Like most managers moyes also massively backs himself to a degree where he relies on himself so I'm not surprised he's still watching players anyway it's still entirely possible he'll be here next season.

I'm not sure on how many times he's gone out and scouted but all I'm saying is it's a clue to where he's going to be next season.

didn't he turn down the chance to sign bony before sheeds? or don't you know, guessing it was financial reasons of why he said no if he is actually looking at him again
