Intresting reactions on this thread. I sense that blue noses are starting to wake up to the fact that their comfort blanket is about to be ripped away after 11 years. Mehanwhile, Bill is rocking backwards and forwards in the corner of the room while the rest of the board peer through the wondow at the unfolding scene without a care.

Erm...what?

Moyes back in September on his contract:

"It could become an issue, but I dont think it's an issue at the moment. The only issue it could become is if other people start thinking it's an issue. I dont want anything to get in the way of how well the players are playing. If that became a problem, then Id need to look at it."

I think we may have reached that point. It's time for this feller to **** or get off the pot.

At this point you have to wonder what he's waiting for.

Nothing is going to change between now and the summer, so why wouldn't he sign a new contract if he intends to stay? Unless he's just hanging on to see what sort of European qualification, if any, we get.

Most likely he's decided he's off at the end of the season but his professionalism precludes him from saying anything about it.

Good dig out Davek but nothing will happen given we are still chasing a cup, Europa and CLF.

It will go down to the wire.

Does anyone who's supposedly "in the know" know whether actual offers have been made for Moyes in the past?

If he's apparently that great a manager how come he wasn't knicked by all sorts ages ago? We all saw him try to land the Spurs job doing his punditry at Euro 2012 but in the end they opted for a manager who's younger and has actually landed trophies in the past.

we've heard nothing from anyone have we? no-ones even been bothered to make some nonsense up about him 'thinkin about it' or saying non commital stuff such as 'there are other clubs interested' etc etc

In todays world where 24 hour news rules the roost even something like Moyes mentioning a wonderful night he had with his wife in London in 1993 would be misconstrued as him landing the Arsenal job or something...it's bizarre how nothing has even been made up.

The problem is mate fans outside of GP follow the media line regarding Moyes ie he's been here years, haven't been relegated therefore he's a genius!

Chairman with expectations putting their loot on the line look a bit closer and the one thing that can't be disputed is plenty of Evertonians see he's ok for survival but suspect not much else - if we can see it I'm damn sure others do.

God that Spurs thing was cringe worthy wasn't it? He so obviously wanted to go there, but they showed no interest at all!

But I do agree with Davek's comment earlier. He needs to make his mind up ASAP as it will start to affect the players.

Another point, is it about him making his mind up? Has he even been offered a new contract?

Assuming Moyes leaves ?

The club is in a much better state than when he took over no Dought about that, and I will be forever greatfull for the work and commitment he has done for us and surly will be a everton legend.

So where dose it leave us.

The good - can we get a manager who will play a more attacking football,e.g look to play two strikers.

Look to sign more creative players other than "Moyes type workmen players.

Someone who will give our younger players a real bite of the cherry instead of keeping with his favoiutes.

Someone who has a genuine plan b.

The bad - be carful what we wish for

We are hard to beat and DW has done a good job at this. Without a regular 20 goal a season striker we are consistent top 7.

Eye for a bargin, mostly very shrewd in the transfer market, could an other manager with his budget find the players Moyes has.

There all his players, he's signed every players in the squad he's signed them to play his way and for the team, we are a strong unit.

So who would be next.

Someone like for like to maintain what we got.

Someone who would change our style

????

In some quarters the new appointment is going to have to better regular top 6 finishes, win cups & beat the Sky 4 away regularly to be considered good enough.......& all this on a budget less than that of Fulham.

It is about much than just football. The best thing is that it WILL force Kenwright's hand.

As long as Moyes stays then Kenwright has a get out of jail free card, and we will forever remain amongst the paupers of the league.
