CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

Does anyone know the date when his contract is up? He can't surely wait until the last day. If he leaves it that long he must have been tapped up or know of another job likely to come his way.

One question I wish the media had the balls to ask is " Would you let one of your players say he will let his contract run down and wait to look at his options, before signing?"

I know how petulant this is but I'd make it public that he's got until the end of march to sign if not he's on his bike.

See what happened last time he messed us about all summer for details why.

Childish that lad

England women were losing 1-0 at HT today, they made 3 changes at HT and won 3-1, get hope powell in ffs.

she would wait until benteke put villa 3-1 up before making a change haha

The thing for me is I dont think we are punching above our weight, I think we have the 6-7th best team in the league and guess what thats where we are sitting

Yes credit to Moyes for building that team but lets crawl out from his hairy ginger arse and see it for what it is

The team he has currently should be playing a much better brand of football, Not this hoof ball we seem to be subject to season in season out

Circular argument.

We have the 7th best squad in the league.

Which of the 6 teams with better squads should we be finishing above?

So suddenly putting together a squad better than all the other teams with similar financing and finishing above these teams EVERY season is failure.

If what Moyes does is so easy how come decent managers like Jol, O'Neill, Redknapp etc have only managed to match his performances when they've been given vastly larger budgets? As soon as they work with similar resources they finish 10 points a year worse off.

And which teams play better football than Everton CONSISTENTLY on similar budgets?

I don't think Moyes is perfect by any means but I hate the way the fire is turned on him after every set back. He is one of the few decent things about this club at the moment and the day he does leave will result in an almost certain drop in performance and consistency.

not being funny but why do you think we have the 7th best squad? He never uses his squad at all. 7th best first team I would argue maybe but squad?

I didnt once say we should be finishing higher than we do

What I said was Moyes is not over achieving with the current squad, Hes round about where he should be, I am sick of the Everton are punching above the weight line when in truth we are not, If we where we would be sat in 4th or winning Cups, Something he has failed to do in 11 years

As for Redknapp and O'neill, Who said they where decent managers?

Leading us onto Jol, He has a net spend of -9m since joining Fulham, They finished 4 points behind us last season

I agree with you.

7th best first team.

In squad terms I think you could actually make an argument that there are several teams with much more depth.

We have an out of form Jelavic(£5m) or an injury prone Anichebe as striking options whilst Stoke have Crouch (£10m), Jones (£8m), Owen, Walters (£3m) and Jerome (£4m) to choose between and Fulham have Ruiz (£11m), Rodellega, Petric and Berbatov (£5m).

How does the money excuse work with us losing so badly to Wigan?
