Myabe, but not all change is good.

I know but sticking with the same old same old can also be a bad idea

I am not saying for one min that getting rid of Moyes will work beacause it could all go tits up,Its all ifs and buts though because nobody has a clue what would happen, I just know that I am sick of the way Moyes is running the club and the style of the football on offer

Just passing on what I have heard.....may be true, may be false I can't guarantee either way....

A fella I work with, works at GP on matchdays (media or PR or something like that). He said Moyes handed his notice in after the game on Saturday, Kenwright refused it. Also said there was a bust up in the dressing room between the players, but doesn't know who was involved.

I'm not calling you a liar or anything but a lot of talk is just that. Personally I'd have a lot more respect for Moyes if he had. Though I wouldn't like to see him leave in that fashion after what he's done before.

Despite me disagreeing with a fair bit of what he does, the majority is done with the best interests of EFC in his mind.

You could be spot on mate personally I just couldn't see that happening at all

I know, lads. Like I say, just passing on what I heard. I don't know this fella all that well, but he's pretty much spot on when I do speak to him and has never fed us a line about signing player x or anything like that.

I'd probably say it is unlikely too. Would imagine Moyes would want to finish the job.

This is getting to be like an episode of ****ing Dream Team.

Cant Moyes etc just pull out their tampons and man the **** up, sort themselves out, and finish the season?

Over inflated ego's need to just realise why they're there and who they're working for.

“I’ve always known what I need to do to move it forward here, and I’ve always known what is required, but a lot of those things aren’t apparent to people viewing from the outside,” he (Moyes) explained.

“As the season goes on, those frailties we have identified do become more apparent and more people begin to notice them. Obviously they are more noticeable after performances like these.

“We are quite good at covering them up through the years, but the reality is there. This doesn’t change my thoughts - I still have the same appetite for that job, and I will always fight to see how we can improve Everton - that is what I am doing all the time.

“We know the reality, but I’m saying those things all came home to roost today, because I don’t think they necessarily did - I think this defeat was more to do with the fact that we didn’t play well enough and Wigan did. It was as simple as that.”

What subtle 'frailties' has Moyes spotted?

I absolutely hate the viewpoint from opposition fans that he's too good for us and we're lucky to have him. He's a big game bottler, a ****e tactician, has an awful derby record etc.

Comments like this on Sky Sports make me want to punch someone:

DM is a great manager- if i was a player i would love to work with him. Never gets the money he needs but always in top half off the table with an OK team. Gets 100% out the team everytime. Always near or next to Liverpool in league even when Liverpool spends Millions. If any Everton Fan Moans about DM then you know nothing, if he wasnt there you wouldnt be in the premiership. Great Manager, hopes he stays with Everton but he wont have a problem finding another job. (Lufc Fan)

Do you think that Moyes is doing anything special with the team he has?

Do you enjoy the football he makes our team play?

Do you enjoy going to places like Anfield and Old trafford to roll over and have our tummys tickled?

I don't think the team is that special. This is where the Moyes-out argument crumbles. The people who want Moyes to go do so as they don't think he gets enough out of our brilliant team/squad that the very same Moyes has put together for no money on the same wages as Stoke/Fulham and Sunderland.

I think he gets the most possible out of the players he has. I don't think any other manager would do as well at Everton. I use the fact that no manager in the last 10 years has outperformed him on our budget. That is quite some time for 1 manager to have stepped up and beaten him. But nobody has. Not even one.

Did I sleep through some period in the last 20 years when we regularly rolled up to Old Trafford to win?
Our PL record before Moyes took over was 17 defeats in 21 games with 2 wins (one being the first PL game). GD of -31
Under Moyes it is 20 games, 3 wins and 5 draws and 12 defeats. GD of -20

We've lost 2 of our last 7 away games versus Chelsea, and won 3, drawn 1 and lost 1 of our last 5 at home.

We've a poor derby record but have finished above them several times - something that has only happened a few times in my 33 years on the planet. I'd rather finish above them in the league than win the odd game at Anfield.

Its all got to be taken in context though hasn't it?

If you were a fan of a club who didn't consistently finish in the top 8 of the premier league and had been through some seriously bad times, maybe you would have this view of Moyes too.

They don't have to watch the football on a weekly basis though and cannot see his flaws, all they see is the end result.

When he goes it will be very interesting.

I can't see a single word to disagree with what he says.

Good post.. god I'm blue

We look on with amazement as Arsenal fans call for Wenger's head.

But from a Gooner's perspective, he is yesterday's man and the wheels have come off.

Missing out on a CL place next season will be like relegation to them.

It's just the fact that no one outside Everton takes into account any of his flaws, which are numerous. They act like he's a brilliant manager. And that 'if he wasn't there you wouldn't be in the premiership' makes my blood boil. For all but 4 years of our history we've been in the top division. I'm sure without Moyes we wouldn't be in the Championship.

i can see a lot of your points Timak but out of the managers at Sunderland,Stoke etc how many have had 11 years to build the team?
Thats 11 years of Osman and Hibbert
