i guess i'm not the only one here worried that bill will offer him another contract in the summer. The appointment of
moyes was the only thing kenwright has got right during his tenure, but he surely has to see we haven't really gone anywhere in the last 4 years. I know this is partly to do with finances yada yada, but like del said, at this moment in time we have the 6th best squad in the league, an opinion i share. And yet we know find ourselves 7th and only a couple of points ahead of 8th and 9th and have been knocked out of the cups to leeds and wigan.
I know people use the argument that with
moyes we have stability and we'll definitely never get relegated, but that's not teh current circumstance - any manager would do well to get relegated with our current crop of players, especially considering we will be getting a decent transfer kitty in the summer off fellaini's sale.
I Would never say anything bad about moyes' transfer ability, but some people talk on here as if he is the only manager that can pull these bargains out of the hat.
Look at Laudrup he's managed to convince a holland international in De Guzmaan to join little old swansea and has found michu for £2m, Demba Ba was a free agent a few years back, as was Diame. Even that belwhiff pardew has managed to find sissoko for £1.8m, as well as attracting great players like debuchy to his club for not too much money either. I know there's more to a transfer than purely the fee, but we are a top proposition for a lot of players out there (look how desperate fer was to come) and there are usually a few good free agents out there every summer.
Just trying to make the point that without moyes, it's not a full gone conclusion, we'll have a manager who can't pick a good player who's cheap.
