CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

Imagine you and your missus went on a night out, drinking happily and having a laugh. But as the night wears on she spots some rugby lads on the dance-floor and realises she might fancy a bit. But obviously she came with you, so she can't sever the ties completely, as she knows you'll still go home with her at the end of the night. She goes over to the big meatheads and starts dancing and grinding, maybe even flashing a bit of bra at them to catch their attention. But none of them are buying it, turns out she thinks she's fitter than she actually is.

So she trots back to you knowing full well you'll take her home and give her a good smash, cos tbf she is still pretty fit and there's no better options. But mid smash you realise, actually, I wasn't the first choice here any more, and the whole thing leaves you with a nagging resentment.

That's what it'll feel like if Moyes signs.

This brilliant.

Football is a very fickle game.Three months ago if David Moyes had signed a new contract it would have been regarded as a coup by the club.I think that the fanbase would now like to see a change of manager.I still think David Moyes will leave and end up managing some low or middle ranking club in Spain or Germany.

I posted some time ago that I thought David Moyes would always be a "nearly "manager and I still think that is the case.
He will take a struggling club and make them much better. In my opinon however he does not have the imagination or flair as a manager to make his team the best.
This is the cause of my dissatisfaction.I appreciate everything he has done for the club but I believe we have reached the famous glass ceiling. However for me this ceiling is the managers ability rather than the lack of finance.

I reckon Moyes knows it too.

We need a shake up. It's not coming off the pitch anytime soon, so that limits it to the manager's job. I'm not desperate to see him leave (it's a big gamble for us), but the time seems right for just about everyone. If he signs a new contract even if we do well in the last 10 games it'll be uninspiring....the exact opposite effect desired when a boss signs up for a job.

In short: we need a shot in the arm.

I think that's a key point there mate.

In an ideal world we'd want rid of both. But that's not gonna happen. So it has to be Moyes.

Would you settle for shooting Neville in the knee caps

I'm told he was advised against the stance he's taken and warned it'd bite him on the arse , maybe that is in itself telling about moyes .

Oh aye.....

Former Everton midfielder Peter Reid on his former side's FA Cup defeat by Wigan:
"It's a long time since Joe Royle's side beat Manchester United in the final. It's difficult winning trophies. David Moyes has done a fantastic job on limited resources. I don't know [whether Moyes will still be Everton manager next season]. The noises coming out of Goodison don't seem positive. The contract is waiting and you don't usually hear that."

It's a strange one mate. He doesn;t come across as a feller who'd rush into a mistake. He's got people all around him (including family) who know their way around. The only thing that would make sense of his comments is if he actually has a club to go to. I honestly dont know who he'd get better than us with his limitations like, but he hasn't run down that contract and taken all this stick to eventually retreat with his tail between his legs and re-sign, surely?

Limited resources

Kev 6m
Jelavic 5m
Fellaini 15m
Baines 6m
Neville 3.5m
Jags 4m
Heitinga 6m
Pienaar 4.5m

Oh how could we ever compete with the mighty Wigan FC with such a team, He bought all those players with magic beans ffs

You know who looks after him and I hope you remember I've posted stuff previously that suggests I've heard little bits from that direction and Im told in conversation he's said this stance was against advice .

I think a popular thought was it was very possible nobody (relatively speaking ) would want him and he'd end up signing the deal in the table , I think it's getting to the stage where that's no longer an option.
