CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

The worst thing about it all is that Moyes had the squad this season to win something.

He ruined Jelavic playing Fellaini behind him. Jelavic was and still is doing all the donkey work, when he should just be sitting pretty in the box and waiting for the ball to drop to him.

He mismanaged Heitinga. To the point where our player of the season was completely dropped and had every reason to have a gob on. Heitinga has sulked and put in half hearted performances ever since.

He continued to use Phil Neville & Hitzlsperger instead of highly talented youth player.

He along with the board failed to bring someone in in January. But not for the want of trying!

The only thing that goes in his favour is possibly the early injuries of Gibson and Mirallas. For me this has been his best squad and he's failed miserably.

Have some + Rep for that. Agree.

Absolutely on Jelavic - also the absence of any early ball is killing him. Too patient in build up.
Heitinga - A master class in how not to manage someone. As you say, player of the season, to dropped for the opening phase of the season.
Phil Neville and Hitzlsperger - No excuse. Just piss poor.
January - The board gave him at least £10m to invest - he didn't.

not convinced with the whole ruined jelavic thing think he might just be a bit crap atm.

the thing that annoys me is the whole fellaini behind the striker thing. firstly because our midfield is crap and secondly because all we do is hoof it to him. you might say oh well hes scoring goals but hes only scored one from a hoof. all hoofing it to him does is make us play crap. at the start of the season we were playing great because we were not hoofing it. we were still using fellaini but we were not hoofing it to him.

also im not convinced that he wouldnt have scored the goals he has if he was playing in the midfield but given a little bit of freedom.

Agree on the Jelavic and centre midfield bit. Barkley is the our biggest upcoming talent since Rooney and Moyes has hated him ever since he gave away that penalty at Blackburn last season.

Don't think we're hoofing it more to Fellaini than we were before Christmas. It's just that teams have sussed it out and put two on Felli, one behind and one in front, which stops him controlling with his chest. Problem is we havn't changed accordingly.

if i do the math, teams are doubling up on baines, pienaar and fellaini so why aren't we finding loads of space where these players should be? Answer is Moyes plays one way and one way only and if it doesn't work we're buggered.

After reading the newspapers this morning and all of them saying that moyes may have taken us as far as he can and that for HIM to progress needs a bigger club, I'm convinced the best move for all is if he goes as all he's doing is tarnishing his own reputation with the fans.

no we are. its always straight back to front now we we pass to him. earlier in the season in was more like lobbed passes from the midfield but now its just hoofing

That's the bit that is doing my head in. I don't know whether he is starting to believe his own hype. What clubs that are higher in the Premiership will show genuine interest in him? Tottenham? no. Chelsea? no. Utd? You must be joking. Arsenal? can't see it myself.

That said, it's a damning reflection on the board, that a manager who has never won a trophy is considering leaving the club with no job lined up. That leaving the club for nothing is seen as a better option than staying and further tarnishing his reputation. That's the kind of thing that managers of Bolton, Charlton, Bradford and Wigan have done in the past, not 9 time title winning Everton. For me that will be the lowest point in Everton's history

Read the papers myself. It's all about HIM not being able to full fill his potential. Not the fact that his tactics are outdated along with his favourite players.

I'm suprised Moyes has stuck with Fellaini in this position while teams have suss him out. He need space, not trying to win long balls. He can bring the ball down in midfield and lay off players, he so much better in midfield then being crowded out by the goal.
He not been his best for weeks now and should have been moved back to mid, the only issue i have with Moyes as he doesnt change it about. we have players who could do with a chance behind the striker such as Naysmith, Osman, Mirallas, Barkley, Victor and in midfield we are struggling as we play Neville.
Moyes had got to forget about Loyalty and take more risks and drop players when they are ****e.

There is that, but if you look, the worm is turning a bit. Andy Dunn, Prentice and McNulty are saying the same as us. Where is he going to go that's bigger? Who is going to want someone who's very talented team got hammered at home with a trip to wembley looming?

I agree with another poster on here, if he leaves it will most probably to do nothing for a bit until a job comes up. I hope he goes as if he stays it will only be because nobody else wants him

We are safe in the league so I say Moyes should just sign or **** off. Give the new manager a chance to shape the side to how he wants for next season. DM must know if he is gonna sign or not.

Does that make sense???

It does in a way mate, but the thing is the difference between finishing 6th and 9th is easily about £1.5m in Premier League prize money. Money which a club in our position can't afford to miss out on.
