and I don’t think there was a great deal I could have made different.

Last sentence is abysmal, btw.

Completely agree again. He's only looking out now to save his reputation. He knows if he'd have resigned on Saturday then that would have been his calling card trumped. This way we plod on to the 7th place trophy and he can tell everyone what a great job he did for poor, plucky Everton.

The feller's in denial. He can barely utter a sentence now without it looking completely divorced from reality.

To me that smacks of the current problem it's ALL about David moyes.

The only time it's ever all about the top managers is when they deflect from the players or take the blame , totally at odds with this kind of pony

No difference? You could have made one massive difference Moyes, not picking Neville.....it was that selection that set the tone on the pitch for that god awful display & his 'gift' of a 2nd goal cemented the result. If you can't grasp that, then your heads gone Davie.

I've made my position on moyes clear but I heard a whisper yesterday that Gibson wasn't in the best shape despite being warned

Even with 1 leg & a hangover, you'd pick him over Neville though mate & he also had a German international & young Barkley to choose from & that's ignoring the possibility of playing with 2 strikers at home to the mighty Pie eaters.

Ah Moyes, of course. Nothing you could have done would have made a difference.
Losing 3-0 to Wigan was written in the stars. It just happened. Let's not get irrational and analyse the reasons behind it. Just accept that sometimes these things happen. That would be nice.

The other thing about playing Neville (and we cant blame the defeat totally on him, I know) is that when you have experience in a player like him and he's the skipper and the manager's voice on the pitch, you dont expect the team to fall apart in 4 minutes. Presumably, as much as whatever talent he has left of winning second balls, it's his duty to stop the rot and get into the players around them making sure they get a bit of 'smelling salts' in them after they go behind. It turned into a rout though WITH the aid of this feller...and to be quite honest he looks like a bit of a crank now anyway on the pitch - sometimes with all hands in the team arguing the toss with him. he does not look the part of the elder statesman carved out for him.

He's finished & Saturday proved it.

I just hope that his brother has a word in his ear, as Gary looked a shambles in his last couple of appearances for United & he had the sense to realise he was done.

If we see Phillip in an everton shirt again, then I'll weep.

A good organiser, perhaps. A leader? I've never thought so.

Backroom appointment - not a problem, tbh. He seems like he can offer something there. He cant start games anymore though. That'd be a nonsense.

If Kenwright had any bollocks, he'd be telling Moyes this morning that it's time to **** or get off the pot, as if he's still not prepared to commit, then he can leave now, as in today. Enough's enough here.
