CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

Disagree that his tactics are universally poor.

We get a decent amount of points against the big sides at home, something not many clubs can say. Unfortunately the defensive style sometimes means we don't put games to bed against lower sides.

If we got a manager with a more attacking style in we'd probably lose more games against the big teams and win a few more against the lower sides. Net gain of precisely zero.

On top of that we'd also lose his ability to build squads from a couple of pennies and a paperclip.

I would pit us against anybody at home, that is not down to moyes‘ tactics. His tactics are poor when it matters. He‘s a great team builder and we may miss him for that when he goes. But its going a bit stale now, he probably knows this himself. His attitude towards the contract is what gets me more than anything

You can't say that though, you don't know what went on. The blame for our squad situation lies with the board.

Of course. But we were willing to throw around phantom money bids. The Fer deal collapsed. The Negredo deal was never going to happen... And THT stated we stopped looking at 7pm on the final day of the window.

If we were trying, we didn't try hard enough.

I dont know what his decision will be on his contract, but his half-hearted protest on the pitch to the referee over an additional 16 seconds being played looked like a man who finally gets it that he's gone as far as he can with us. It was a horrible, pathetic moment.

A point would have been no consolation anyway, the game was over before they even scored the second imo.

Sooner he's gone now the better. Would rather have the risk and uncertainty of a new manager than the continual dross being served up by Moyes.

He has no imagination, no team selection foresight and does not appear to be able to provide inspirational leadership in the change rooms.
