Ya mate, but as manager, i'd say we'v hardly had one before, wouldn't sit right with me anyway.
I wouldn't like Adkins purely because Ijjy would FUUUUUUME.

Koldrup Yes, but, bought for 5m, sold for 2.5m.
Yakubu, Nope, scored 20+ in his first Season, I would call that a good buy, then he sulked like a little girl, then get a career ending injury.
Beattie, Nope, bought for 6.5m, sold for 4m.
Richard Wright, Nope, 3.5m, LOL
Jewell inherited a team in the third flight and took them to a cup final and two seasons in the PL. Martinez took over a team tenth in the PL and has kept them in it.
And wages are higher as a percentage of turnover under martinez than under Jewell.
David Moyes was manager of Preston. We deserve better than that at a club like Everton.
Exactly. Martinez is at best Wigan's second best manager. Arguably he's their third.

I'm not arguing for a second that we don't deserve better than Moyes. We do.

I don't really think a manager's past experience is a cast iron way of saying whether a manager is good enough for us, though.
Martinez made Swansea play the kind of football that has led to them being in the Premier League and a Cup Final. The ones who followed him have just carried the torch.
I don't think he's a world beater but i wouldn't be upset if we signed him.
If that's the wrost of 11 years of transfers he's done pretty well. Can think of several flops that cost more than that entire list has lost us.
So they were all good buys then or mistakes?

If Moyes leaves he'll get a plum job, otherwise he won;t leave will he?
Martinez has somehow managed to acquire a reputation that imo is baseless at the highest level, He did a decent job at Swansea, but has achieved nothing at Wigan, barring getting old Dave Whelan some decent air time.
How do you know this? But you argued that Martinez was offered better jobs than Wigan because their owners were clueless.
The point was, no one has come in for Moyes. Now he's had to put himself out there in order to entice clubs for his services after 10 years.
Martinez has had progressed in terms of job offers given to him, rather than him going out looking. He's also knocked better jobs back.
