CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

Surely its all not going to get left till the very last minute and the summer turns into another Complete utter shambles which then takes us into the following new season With The board waiting, ready to hide behind the excuse that moyes just upped and and left not our fault" again , Strategy and plan must now being put in place. .
If I could get good odds on starting next season with no manager (just a caretaker) I would place that bet. Not saying it's remotely likely but it seems borderline possible with this board. Hell, if they started the season with a caretaker (which, again, I consider highly unlikely but not out of the question with these clowns) it could actually work out well for them: The board could have a reasonable explanation for not spending the Fellaini & Baines money in the summer (can't spend 50m without a permanent manager in place) and then the Jan window is always slim pickings so that's why we didn't spend any money then (just bring in one new player to quiet the masses) and then the next summer we can't spend it all because we finished 16th and we budgeted for 7th so there was a shortfall we needed to cover and so on and so on. ;) Anyway, not likely to happen and luckily I don't think even they are this bad/corrupt ... but I wouldn't put it past them. ;)

Absurd.

If Fellaini and Baines were both sold, along with Hitzlsperger's deal running out the squad would be ridiculously thin. Say what you want about the board but even they're not stupid enough to start the season with so few players.

And btw, when have we ever (besides Arteta who was sold to appease the banks) sold a big name and not spent the majority of the money ?

The schizoprenic nature of this forum at times reminds me of the latter days( and worst days of Kipper)Moyes ranges from being a world beater and club saver to being dull unadveturous and a manager who refuses to give young players a chance...even though most would accept they are not ready to play in the first team.
The board is universally damned for being incopetent and bordeline corrupt ,only saved by the aforementioned Moyes who can be the best manager in the world or the worst in the premiership depending on the previous Saturdays result.

All of this this in spite of the fact that we are financially stable, but extended and currently chasing for a CL spot.

We all want rich new owners whose interest lies with the club and not their own pocket.
The board is certainly guilty of being poor in premiership terms, but the club is now in position we could only dream of ten years ago.

And yes,I do still want more pace in our team.

We're not financially stable though.

For the past several years we've been living off a yearly bridging loan, and the fact that Moyes is brilliant in the transfer market. If he was to leave and the replacement was like Rodgers in terms of transfers things could go very wrong very quickly.

Relegation could quite feasibly destroy the club.

I watch these developments with great fear. We have one of the best managers in PL and he is highly respected all over the globe.
We tend to forget that.

Oh please

people are clowns for wanting moyes out we will be fecked without him, the calibre of managers we could attract on our budget would be the ****e like megson, curbishley, martinez etc all **** when will people realise its that redcoat Kenwright and his 8th avenue street posse board members who are holding us back not moyes, give the man a pay rise and give him cash for a ST, CM, and CB top 4 is out of the question imo but I would be happy with Europa league and hopefully fingers crossed a chance to win the FA Cup would love some silverware and havent been in europe for a few seasons now.

only other manager I would want would be Laudrup and we couldnt afford him.

Agreed. I know you like to play the cop mate but I said the following was "not the most likely" and it was a hypothetical situation based on them not being able to find a new manager. It was then a jokey extension of that scenario showing how not appointing a new manager could actually work out in their benefit. I could have phrased it better -- should have a put a smiley face at the end maybe. I'll go back and fix it so nobody else gets bent out of shape about a jokey hypothetical.

It was an extension on the idea of them not having a manager in place. Not sure they would allow a caretaker to spend 30 million or so. Then again, since even I said it was unlikely and would only bet it on long odds, it's not really worth arguing about.

That's why it would be unlikely ... just like I said. Nothing to see here mate ... move along.

Moyes is one of the best paid managers in the World, in the World's richest league. Are managers going to turn that down cos they have to sell to buy?

Too many people are under selling the club and over stating Moyes' ability.

Agreed about wanting Laudrup though. Felli will be off in the Summer, we could afford Laudrup then I am sure.

Happens every time we hit bad form for a bit.

If the job was so good then Moyes wouldn't want to leave in the first place. I certainly can't see him getting the same wage in most other jobs.

Well something which is 0.00001% to happen is technically *possible* ;) What I meant was more "this is insanely horrible and unlikely ... yet my personal regard for them is so low I wouldn't put it past them (but I don't actually believe it will happen)." I'll cop to not being clear about that in my post though.
