Swansea are a well run club. Much like West Brom
They have a full time Chairman who runs the club, and they have a head coach rather than a manager.
This means that the structure remains even when the head coach leaves.
When Martinez/Sousa/Rodgers left they simply bought in a manager who liked to play the same type of football.
If Moyes left we'd be f*cked simply because the club have put all eggs in the Moyes basket. If he goes and takes his staff with him then there is nobody left. That is a scary thought.
If we replaced Moyes with Laudrup the reality is we'd do worse.
And for all the talk of Swansea's flowing football in the 4 games I've seen us play against them we've been the only team playing football.
That’s just your opinion. You are entitled to your opinion but it is not reality.
Everton currently have a good squad of players, I don’t think any of those players with maybe the exception of Neville are more loyal to the manager than the club. If someone like Laudrup came in, they could with a bit of work, change the style of play to one more suited. The thing which sets Laudrup apart from the others you mentioned, for me, is that he has shown the ability to change Swansea’s style to suit the situation. He’s shown that he can shut up shop and try and hit teams on the break when it’s needed. They did this at Goodison and arguably still had the best chance of the game. They’ve done it a few times, he doesn’t seem to have a one-style-suits-all approach to management, he took the Swansea style and he adapted it to be more direct when they needed it to be, and also more defensive when they needed that. If he could replace one or two of the current midfield with pace in wide areas, then it opens the game up, and gives you many more options.
Moyes’ system appears to create the better chances for the midfielders, but our midfield players are not blessed with goals. We task the midfield with a high workload and then have small, average athletes trying to cover large areas of ground.
