CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

Increasingly doubtful he will stay. My stance on it will seldom change until he goes. We need him. He is right to take his time as regards to deciding what his next step is. It's his career and he doesn't have to sign according to our timetable, he can decide when he wants.

This "holding the club to ransom" stuff is agenda-driven, knee-jerk, ill-informed ramblings. He's taking his time, making an informed decision and focusing on the job in hand simultaneously. It wouldn't matter if he came out and disclosed his every thought on the matter because people would still think this nonsense up. We have to wait and see. After 11 years you'd think everyone would have twigged on to how he works. He is meticulous in pretty much everything he does and that includes his contract negotiations. It happened last time he signed as well. He's careful and he has every right to be. He owes us nothing.

I have always been an avid Moyes supporter for the whole 11 years. However at this point in time I dont think an attack minded manager would be a bad thing. Moyes is a negative manager.

Replacement: Martinez

Total goals scored by Wigan:
2009-10 = 37 (conceded 79) goal difference -42 (Everton scored 60)
2010-11 = 40 (conceded 61) goal difference -21 (Everton scored 51)
2011-12 = 42 (conceded 62) goal difference -20 (Everton scored 50)
2012-13 = 30 (so far) (Everton 40 so far)

I offer no comment.

why would a big club buy a man who only has a 3rd division title on his CV?

Maybe they have people on their boards who understand that he isn't exactly competing on a level playing field.

He has accumulated more points than Liverpool in the last 3.5 seasons on a third of a billion less spend. Clubs look at that and see he is doing something right.

while the post is vacant the club should advertize the job and ask for applications -
obviously David Moyes can also apply - force his hand - this should not become a poker game
uncertainty is worse than bad news in a sense - with bad news you can make a plan at least

Would you say Everton have a better squad than Wigans

Comparing our goals scored with Wigan. Fantastic way to judge a managers ability. You know because both squad are matched in ability.

Honestly don't care if he stays or goes anymore.

It's a distracting soap opera that allows journos and pundits to patronise the f*** out of us, pat us on the head, belittle the fact we have no money, but not ask questions about the current EFC owners and board because they don't really give a f*** about us. It's the age of wealth, bling, Sky hype and the Champions League, sexy signings, and footballers on phone number weekly wages. They just want Moyes to 'better himself', because the board are holding him back - yet never once adopt the tact of 'Hang on a minute, the EFC board aren't just holding Moyes back - they're holding EVERTON FOOTBALL CLUB back', and start asking serious questions.

Bored of the whole thing. If we lose, it's miserable,. If we win and do well, our manager and best players are constantly 'on the way out'. It's depressing beyond belief.

No 'big name' manager will want this job when Moyes goes, not when there's no funds to spend without sales. It'll end up being someone from the lower leagues, with them selling us on the idea of it being 'the next Moyes'. The chances of it being actually that in reality are quite remote.

Still confident he'll sign it, be gutted if he doesn't though.

Replacements: Bilic or Marcelo Bielsa
Internal ideal replacement though would be Round or Stubbs, I'm sure we'd look elsewhere for now though.
