...I know Germany qualified despite coming 2nd to Italy but I expect they will provide a test for both Holgate and in particular, Pickford. Looking forward to seeing how he copes.

Played them in a friendly in the spring. Think it was 1-0 Germany but performance from them was far better than the result. We were poor but Holgate was decent at full back and probably our least worse player. Forward players were totally ineffective.
England have done slightly better than I expected tbh. We did have by far the easier of the 3 groups and we did what we had to. I'll be surprised if we come through this game as the Germans are very strong. Hope I'm wrong.
...England have really wasted chances from set pieces in the first 20mins. The German Centre Forward, Selke, is a player we were linked with in January.
