Computer games.

I dislike modern gaming
Its badly sold out like cinema

Im hoping ff15 will change my mind a bit but nothing will ever rival the glory days of ps1
Far too much of a sweeping statement that, mate. Gaming is the most diverse entertainment industry out there.

And pinning your hopes on Square Enix, who have just loaded up Deus Ex (a full price game) with lots of single use microtransactions?!?!?!?!? And recently announced their FF7 remake will be sold as an episodic release!!! Methinks you will be disappointed.

The complaints about micro transactions in Deus Ex are a storm in a teacup. You don't need to buy them at all to experience the game properly. I don't think there's anything wrong with devs putting optional purchases in their games.

Games where you need to pay extra to fully experience the game are a different story.

Windows 7, 8 or 10?

Right click, choose properties. Then click the compatibility tab and:

Brennan, it is that attitude that encourages microtransactions being placed into a full priced game. I am fine with a free-to-play game, but when I am dropping $100, I expect that I won't be pestered to spend even more. It is the whole culture around it that stinks. It just needs to stop.

You're not pestered to purchase them, at all. The vast majority of microtransactions in the game are related to a mini game which is totally separate from the main game. As I said, there is zero need to purchase anything to complete or fully enjoy the main game.

What about them dangling the praxxis point purchase in front of your eyes. Get those late game aug's right now! Just $3.99, sign up now!!!

Look, it is a magnificent game, but those micro-transactions in a full price game is just wrong. It is a trend that is getting worse and worse and unless we, the consumer, stand up to it, these transactions will just get worse and worse.

You're both right I think. You're making it seem a bigger deal than it is in the game but you're also right to, as it's a dodgy practice that needs to be nipped in the bud. Publishers will get away with whatever they can and consumer complacency lets them push the boundaries of what is acceptable further.

For me, Mankind Divided is a brilliant game and the devs have done a great job; I wouldn't let Square Enix being shady affect the game itself or how you enjoy it. But I also wouldn't let it slide, as just like with mortal kombat's instant finisher stuff, it's just not on at all.

Most AAA games, yes. Which account for about 5-10% of all games.

Even then, you played the witcher 3? Ticks both boxes in terms of narrative and gameplay. Indie gems like Undertale are worth checking out too.

Yerh and i enjoyed the game but you cant pretend it had the depth of say ff7 or abes oddysee
It got very samey towards the end aswell - though the voluntary witcher contracts were all sorts of fun, and i enjoyed searching through for the books and the like to expand on background stuff

Mk was such an odd game to put that feature in
Traditionally they were a challenge to learn and show off with, and the new ones arent even difficult to pull off
Anyone using instants would be roundly mocked

Mkx was a complete letdown though, everything from the juggles to the completely off tangent storyline that just went 'dya know that interesting cliffhanger we left 9 on? Yerh screw that'
Wasnt happy at all with that

I disagree. Think maybe nostalgia is playing a part here. Which is understandable. In terms of raw "OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS GAME" magic nothing has ever come close to my favourite games as a kid. But I think that's because I was a kid, and not the cynical and miserable bugger I am now.
