I believe actually the first priority in Moyes' mind is not to lose and he sets out his stall accordingly. I cannot recall any game offhand where we have come out and tore a new orifice in the opposition and dominated/demoralised for the whole game.

We are not good enough team to dominate against any serious competition for the whole game.
And we had a tremendous start against MU and Liverpool this season, first 20-25 minutes against United were just tremendous and we were really attacking from the 1st minute.
