hmmm he is either having a pop at Bill for throwing away the chance to sell the club a few years back but asked for too much or something else is in the mix - more likely to be the former.

If he wanted to have a pop he'd just have a pop, he wouldn't do it like that. I wouldn't vouch for the authenticity of too many people, but I've met Colin and he's a top bloke. He doesn't bs, it isn't his style. He also knows a lot of stuff that goes on before it gets released to the public. He has a track record of being on the money with a lot of stuff over the years. Even Greg O'Keeffe's ears have pricked up on Twitter.

I've seen too many false dawns over the years to get excited just yet, but it's worth noting that sooner or later something will happen to the club, as BK cannot afford to continue the club in its current vein indefinitely.

Interesting times... maybe.
 
I bet he is just tweeting random things and people have put 3+5 together and got 329
 
He doesn't do this sort of stuff normally though.

Sooner or later we will get sold, and it will leak out before it actually gets officially announced.

Agree with your comments on Colin, in my exchanges with Colin he comes across as you say. No BS

It could be that I am trying not to build my hopes up again for Bill to smash them down again. We,ve been to the well before with Bill only for him to have a rethink and carry on running the club with no money, no plan and handing himself awards.

There was the rumor of the qatar thing a few years ago, DD was done, he asked for more than 150m back then anyway the plug was pulled on the everton end.
 
Colin has had plenty of chances to explain on twitter to fans asking him what's he's trying to say... He's the type of guy who if fans were getting the wrong end of the stick... Ie Thinking he's talking of a takeover... I don't believe he's the type of guy not to inform them there getting the wrongbend of the stick.

He's not a BS talker an I don't believe he would purposely give fellow blues false hope!

Very confused with this one tbf.

Of course it's in Bill's interests - well, his financial interests.

As much as he tells everyone that he loves Everton (and to be honest, I'm sure he does, to put up with as much stick as he gets, and to not take a wage out of the club when he could easily do so, even if he doesn't invest any of his money in), the club's debts makes it harder and harder to dodge selling players just to keep afloat each season. There are other people Bill answers to, and other people's interests to consider, and it's possible maybe these other people will accelerate things.

I have been thinking for the last 2 years that they are stripping the assets/debts of the club to maximise their profit on sale of the club. Bill has always said we are are well run and not over indebted. But for the last 2 years we are being told we have to sell as the banks want their money. How come other clubs are able to spend more money than us and have bigger debts and less turnover.... I hope a takeover does happen but also that its the right takeover for the club and not just a takeover to satisfy the investors in the club....
 
Normally at this point of the summer, we've had the usual "3 or 4 interested parties" story's coming from the media. Nothing on that front so far. Could it be because there actually may be a takeover this year.
