He is the chairman of a semi-sucessful, both on the field and off it football club.

You're a poster on a footy forum.

I know who i'm siding with.

No offence.

Actually, my first reply isn't enough. I know nothing about Davek, and a good deal less about Keioc. I have been open to persuasion from either side. So far, the only lies I've been able to detect have come from Kenwright and his employees. These lies are too numerous (and too tedious) to list. As yet, the supporters of the regime have found it impossible to counter with anything other than the nursery argument ... "Well, who would you have?". Let's imagine for a second that we've outgrown pampers: Kenwright isn't the fundamental source of all evil. Neither were any of his predecessors. The problem at Everton goes back to the early 30's: too many conservative board members unwilling to build on success in case things went tits up. Even the sainted John Moores built for the short term.

Kenwright is simply the latest in a very long line of ******s.

By all means sit on your hands and accept what he says: you have that right. But for the love of God don't pretend you have the right of it. All you're doing is, in effect, to say, this is good enough because I'm much too scared to try going forwards. Mediocrity? Yeah, that'll do.

And I'm willing to bet at least 50p that the people who take this line are in their 20's, 30's and very early 40's ... because that's all they've ever known.

For one not fully informed about every detail of the boardroom goings-on, this is an enlightening read, though obviously to be taken with a pinch of salt. I'm not really able to that close to this information, though i guess, as every fan, i'm entitled to an opinion which will be subsequently ignored or, if i'm lucky and saying the same thing as a majority of other people, noted and maybe not acted upon. I dunno though, as every other fan, i guess there aren't really many other things to do than wait and see. The ownership of a club is not in our hands.

Ironically, the people's club to a certain extent also means the poor people's club. Everton being the proud plebeian (opposed to the [Poor language removed]'s patrician) gathering of Liverpool have never meant to me of being something of a financially strong club. We're not well-off. And that's part of our aesthetic, methinks. While we've been fighting through the nineties the odd relegation scrap, the situation is mirrored financially as well. We're on a tightrope, but that is, to a certain extent the Everton way. We're good like that, at making something out of a situation. We've spent a lot of time up there with a balancing stick in our hands, eventually making this balance and art, to the point where we can turn tricks and make it look good, man on wire [Poor language removed] like that. Challenging the metaphor, one might say the tightrope walker is Kenwright, and as far as anything goes, he's at least keeping his balance. He's not driven the club completely to [Poor language removed]. Moyes as well is, as we all know, a master of the art. As for the structure, the rope itself or the objects it might be tethered to, that's solid [Poor language removed], that's our club in all respect. It's an age-old institution. It's not gonna break if any walker falls off.

Please research all the facts, especially the minutes from the public meetings and documents released by the club.

The lies/problem all point to Bill.

I would love him to admit publically how much he wants for Everton.
Sadly he wont.

I think TBH that the board members are far too cosy with each other and are content for the club to totter along. There may have been or not attempts to sell the club but IMO the stumbling block to that has been Kenwright with his determination to vet prospective purchasers and for him to retain a position within the club ( happen we should reconstruct the Boys pen just for him, he will be happy then).

I seem to recall it was revealed than either Green or Leahy passed a comment that Kenwright had very little idea about business.

KEIOC absolutely laced Bill, his silent backers, Tesco, and their legal advisors at public enquiry. No sending bullets in the post, [Poor language removed] videos on youtube, or retards in replica shirts outside the hearings.

The best post I have read in a long time.

Kenwright hates KEIOC because they exposed his spin and lies.

Still kinda struggling to believe Sir Philip Green would be arsed to give a flying **** about Everton FC. That's a bit of tin foil stuff there.

I've had my intellectual differences with William over the last oooh, ten or so years, his heart may be in the right place but sometimes his brain's for sh1te... King's Dock, FSF, Kirkby blah blah blah...

However, what we've got is what we've got... we don't have people battering down the doors to buy the (commercially) second club in a working class city with a limited international profile. If people we're genuinely trying to buy the club and being stonewalled, and if they gave a sh1t - we'd hear about it. Let's face it, if I'd come up on the Euromillions (twice) and had 200 odd Million burning a whole in my pocket and Bill wouldn't let me buy the club and clear the debt I (or my PR people) would be shouting it from the fcuking rooftops.

So, we've got Bill and we're stuck with him, but let's be fair he's not exactly milking the club dry is he? He's just not doing much at all.

Ah fcuk it, I'm off to get a massive flag printed, gather up my Norwegian mates, put all my badges on and stand so close behind a Sky Sports journalist that I'm actually bumming him because THAT's the way to attract people to this club.

Apparently we do though, Bill says we do.

If it's the case we haven't then Kenwright would be well within his rights to say '"investors"? What investors? The call went out, everyone knows I'm looking for investment and absolutely nobody turned up with an interest. We crack on as is.' But he doesn't, so the burden of proof that there are enquiries lies just as much with him.

Confidentiality clauses no doubt.

don't buy that, you see I'd find a way - if I really was in a position to make a difference and was being stonewalled - the news would get leaked by someone - the issue at the moment seems to be lots of people are pitching up and they haven't got much more money than you could find down the back of your sofa
