Colin Fitz article on Toffeeweb

Some one on here wrote THREE threads basically saying the same today. Salivating rabidly thinking of getting some sort of "mass protest" going?

I'm not docile. I'll be there tomorrow. Supporting the blues against the reds.

But they're expecting us to go off on one like idiots to the media, forums the works?

Nah mate.

Quietly going about things and degree of patience. Its how the best operate.

Because as Hicks said yesterday, that lot SCARED OFF INVESTORS by their behaviour. You can make a club completely unmanagable behaving like that.

What they gonner do after that? Protest at the cost of chang? protest about Hot Wok. Protest protest protest.

Jesus the blerts would turn us into a circus.

colin fitzs` line about conditioned apathetic evertonians is being misunderstood- its about us taking any injustices as we see them and lying down- liverpudlians are conditioned to accept every idiotic decision in their favour and to go balistic and demand a rematch if they fail to get a throw-in hence they protest protest protest. we make excuses to stay cool and do nothing

Just read that article, and it's spot on isn't it. Pretty damning stuff, and just more reasons why big changes need to be made. Not necessarily with the manager who has clearly had his hands tied despite Kenwright saying otherwise - although he has wasted millions himself.

I think the main problem is with the fans. Who constantly see top half finishes as the opposite as to what the 90s was, and that that is good enough. Well it ain't good enough for me. Not by a long chalk. I have said in the past that we have potential to be title challengers, and sometimes all it needs is tweaks here and there, but when you read an article that highlights a catalogue of negatives, and that nobody seems arsed to do anything about it.

Not talking about protests, but there does seem to be an air of acceptance of mediocrity at this club, and until that is wiped away it won't ever get better. I truly believe that.

Liverpool will more than likely win today because they believe it. The majority of Everton fans, me included, will believe that although we have the better side, we will probably not win. That can be masked by passion, but you hear it all the time around the grounds. Negative comments etc...

I think as a club, as a single unit. We need to have that positive mentality and the belief that we can be as big as Barcelona or Manchester United. Without the laughs, why not? Usually though we need a catalyst to kick that positive mentality off, or we need a super trillionaire.

Although the lad hasn't suggested any suitors or alternative solutions - I think he is doing a great job highlighting the issues of the past 10 years. Which whilst have been progressive under Moyes, have been mere baby steps rather than grabbing the opportunities to take the next important steps.

Anyone who is in business will know that if you have marketable opportunities (for example the CL qualification) you grab it. You take the risks in business to move up the ladder. Successful businesses are aggressive, they know what they want and they go for it.

Everton is not run as a business, it's run as a football club from 20 years ago, with the hope that another Kendall moment will happen.

Like Leeds?

You have to take risks mate. Microsoft and Apple have all taken risks. Nobody gets anywhere unless they put themselves forward. But to be honest mate I respect you, but you don't seem to have any real opinions, you just want to shoot down or laugh at others opinions.

I'd be interested to hear what you direction you think the club should go in, and how you see them in say 10 years time.

Then I suggest you don't comment on the business of football then. Sorry mate, but you must have an opinion, you can't be all so dismissive about everyone else's opinion and not offer one yourself.

I think you just broke the internet with that heavy dose of irony.

Of course I understand business, I understand it very well but its just that youre speaking out of your arse lad.
