Coin collectors?

I have a fairly large collection including every decimal coin from 1971 to about 2022, bar one. When the Royal Mint started creating about 20 more coins per year and it was costing £600+ to keep up, I decided to pull the plug on that.

Although I still get the proof set and a few coins each year if I feel they are interesting enough.

If you could put that together there would be plenty of value I am sure!

We tried to spend all this lads coin collection when he fetched it out worked for a bit we purchased loads of iced creams etc till the shopkeeper noticed ....

Thought you may be able to fence them at a car booty, along with all the stolen power tools and bags of weed, disguised as bags of Sage ?

It's not a lot but they are mostly rare(ish) about a dozen £2 and similar £50p with some of each very rare.

I've got a few £2 and 50p that are rare(ish) also. Need to go through them tbh

I suggest Second class no real difference in delivery time but half the price!

They are the best ones because there are limited runs and special editions!

I don't go out purposely looking for them, when I end up with some loose change, I double check them and then put them into my jar. But I defo need to have a look at what I have.

I was the same until I got one of the Paddington 50p's and an olympics £2. coin in the same week so would ask for them from staff!

If you could put that together there would be plenty of value I am sure!

To me it has absolutely zero value, as it's not something I would sell. Even though I've spent thousands on it, I did inherit most of the coins so I see it as just passing it down...To people who will probably sell it on of course...

It's the 2009 Blue Peter designed 50p. I have the 2011 version that was released as part of the London 2012 Olympics, the 09 version there were around 20k minted, which leads to aftermarket prices of:

I have paid a lot of money for some coins but £200-250 for a 50p I haven't been able to square.
