It's true, and hopefully cleaner battery and long distance travel technology can be developed but the simple fact is that using the wind, sun, and sea to generate electricity is better for us all than using fossil fuels. It appears like a game of snakes and ladders, use electric cars which need batteries and their constituent parts shipped thousands of miles, plus the carbon emmisions of the manufacturing process, generate electricity with solar panels, which again involve transport and manufacturing carbon emmisions,go nuclear, but where to you dispose of the spent fuel? And on and on.
If you remember I tried to explain it in the past, but it’s like trying to teach a dog about physics.Glad you took the time to avoid the question and confirm the irrational hostility so prevalent with you people the desperation to hoist yourself by your own petard may be puzzling to some but not me you just lack basic reasoning and logic
Time to join the equally irate on the naughty step you naughty little munchkin ... ciao baby. lol
Wow, is Barry still a thing? Aww bless.
Yep, and this thread has been quiet for a while. I wonder how much new "evidence" he has downloaded from that weird website he kept linking from?Big fan of his work tbh.
Very entertaining.
I don't think he has me on ignore, but I just can't be @rsed in engaging him any more. All he has to cling onto is "all the websites I link are 100% correct and all the science you present is 100% wrong".Barry "anti-vax" Bone has been quiet only because he has silenced all those who disagree with him by putting them on ignore. Obviously, this isn't a principled stance of fighting/debating for what you believe in; this is the cowardly fingers-in-ears, eye-closed, saying "la-la-la-la-la-la..." approach. Similar to his ending each sentence with an idiotic emoji, I find this very adult of him.

Chuck in a few French words every so often and he thinks that gives him an air of authority lol
The problems then come for land locked countries in the Northern Hemisphere with very little sun and variable wind conditions, and how to store the little energy that can be generated. The laws of physics will always get in the way.For me the biggest challenge is going to be changing the mindset of people who want the latest tech they want...now.And don't want wind farms and solar arrays spoiling their countyside views. It's true, and hopefully cleaner battery and long distance travel technology can be developed but the simple fact is that using the wind, sun, and sea to generate electricity is better for us all than using fossil fuels.
Remarkable how this episode happened in relatively modern times and in one of the great European countries.
You can't help wondering how ordinary people could be so subverted by propaganda and captured by an ideology to become a part of such heinous evil. It also begs the question of whether people of today might contain the same latent potential for bullying, hatred and intolerance ... then you look at social media and it's not even a question

He’s got you on ignore hasn’t he? Deciding to put people on ignore who don’t agree with you is an odd tactic. Can’t imagine he has many mates.Barry, you have quoted and linked to "principia scientific" to support your climate denialism. Apart from anti-vaxxers, just look at what types of people visit this site (screen shot below). Maybe you should rethink your sources and learn a bit about science. I realize that you cannot control which tinfoil hat weirdos leave holocaust-denial comments on those sites, but you can control which fringe sources you quote from. You clearly hold the correct views on the attrocity and facts(!) of the holocaust as your quote above, taken from the Birkenau thread, demonstrates...I am confident it's not a far leap for you to learn the facts of science and how they apply to climate modeling and climate change.

Yes, definitely on ignore, but I presume he turns it off every so often to read things, then switches it back on...Dunning-Kruger and all that. He’s got you on ignore hasn’t he? Deciding to put people on ignore who don’t agree with you is an odd tactic. Can’t imagine he has many mates.
He’s too far gone. I’d leave him to it. An utterly odious individual. He’s been polluting several forums with his bullshit I imagine.
