If I agreed with you, we’d both be wrong.
Man caused or not whatever you believe it's going to effect you. With governments introducing carbon tax and banning Petrol and Diesel cars along with fossil fuel burning home heating systems. Of course the Irish government have gone from 0 to 100 with yesterday's climate action plan. Currently there are 1200 car charging points in the country and the ban on petrol and Diesel coming in 10 years, if you are familiar with Ireland you'll know that public transport is at best a joke and that's in Dublin where there is public transport. Where ever you are in the world this is going to hit you in the pocket just hope that you don't have an idiotic government who just plough ahead with ideas even without infrastructure in place.

I'd love to have an electric car but the lack of charging options, the range and the length of time it takes to charge is putting me off, 3 huge hurdles that need to be cleared before there is a public change in perception.

Agree there. Public service vehicles will be the nightmare. Guessing your going to need a lot of charging for a fire engine. Unless they stay diesel/petrol.

The whole thing seems a massive nuisance. Will probably have a referendum on it.

We should have been putting this all into place years ago. Obviously we are part of the problem. But with the US increasing emissions, China, Brazil and India wanting to grow their economies quickly and cheaply the world as we know it is doomed. It's really worrying.
