The idea that kids cannot be mature enough or smart enough to talk to adults and possibly know more than world leaders is idiotic and caveman like.

Kids are smarter than they used to be. They absorb alot more alot quicker than most of us when we were their age. Given the advantages and technology they have and what information they can get so easily.

After the mass shootings in the US it was the same thing. What do they know? And stay in your lane kid blahs blah.....

There are plenty off 12 to 16 year old kids who have created and sold business for millions. One for a billion. So you jab at me is nonsense. You dont even know what I do for a living.

Currently there are just over 100 13 to 16 year olds in ivy league universities.

Education has evolved drastically since you were a kid I am guessing and for those who want to learn they can outsmart the best of us

The data is there. It's good to see people slating these kids for knowing the "square root of f all" yet these kids are the ones taking the time to educate themselves on the research, actually doing some learning and then going out and trying to do something about it. They are listening to the subject matter experts who have spent their lives working on climate change, yet some loon on the internet knows more about it because, well they're too young to be smarter than me. It gets my goat when the ignorant and then some in the older generations play the high horse card that they know it all and we should be grateful. The old role stereotypes come right out and everyone should know their place. That's how it comes across.

I would want my kids to be smarter than me. In fact i know they will be and even at their current ages they know quite a lot. Why is that because as parents in this day and age we want them to take advantage of every bit of tech and the new ways of learning and gathering information.

I like to listen to both sides of any debate, it’s interesting to me, I don’t favor any side, but you...... your posts are about as hypocritical as they could be on any debate. I constantly see you post the same things ‘ right wing, far right, conspiracy, cult, brainwashed ‘ and that it’s coming from fake media. Well how does she? Do you have examples? Seriously i am curious. Not that it matters to me.

She was asked to give a speech not do a Q&A. That's what the professionals at the event did instead.

Now like you i do believe there is some manipulation, of course there would be, after all it was a political event. A gathering of world leaders is hardly a science fair.

Labeling her stupid though like some have done or saying she is simply a kid is worse than being a climate denier.

Say kids should shut up and stay in school and denying their intelligence is also disingenuous (not that i am saying you are doing that by the way)

Having traveled the world and being stationed in several countries not forgetting fighting a war (yes ok the 2nd conflict in Iraq was not a war blah blah) I like to think the one thing i took back was an open mind and a willingness to learn and change.

I don't necessarily buy into i fought for their freedoms mantra but i do get why many of my fellow veterans and the general public believe that.

But what i do believe is that we should never look down on kids and tell them they should be quiet. we should encourage them and help them succeed. If it's not for you say so without being disparaging.

My left sided scientific view vs conspiracy mate. I mean if you actually think there is an army of highly educated people who are creating a conspiracy about the climate with zero financial reward, then yeah, I call a zombie a zombie.

She is impassioned by a subject that is quite clearly dear to her. I would therefore reckon like anything that interests people they try to read and see as much as they can on the subject. So in answer to your question she probably knows a fair bit and I would back her figures and responses on the matter a hell of a lot more than say Donald J Trump's.
