Dont think shes said anything that anyone could class as "wrong". End of the day shes raising awareness for a huge issue, way outside the scope of what a 16 year old kid should be doing. Shes taken responsibility for something that folk in government around the world should have been doing for a very long time.
The measure of success in the modern world is driven by GDP and money ultimately. The irony of this being the limiting factors on a very real problem is money is entirely fabricated by mankind. We cant do X because it costs too much, cost always relating to th £ and $, never the bigger picture. We are literally creating our own problems and then cant "afford" to correct it because we dont have enough of this imaginary thing we need to do so.

It is pretty depressing but all too human to see people determining whether the overwhelming scientific consensus on climate change is a) true and b) worth doing something about based on whether or not they get negative vibes from a sixteen year girl, as if that is even remotely relevant to the atmospheric carbon ppm rate.

It saddens me that people are shouting her down based on her age. For me she is showing a wisdom far beyond her age.
It makes me even sadder when right wingers try to attack her with lies.
The worst though is the attack from her would-be allies. Those that agree with the message but then spend all of their energy on trying to say it's unrealistic. Or saying she is being used.
Simple question deniers...is the planet healthier today than it was 100 yrs ago? How about 20 then?

Maybe she shares the message the Green Energy companies stand for have you considered that?
Not all 16 year old are naive and well teenagers mentally.
The PR company maybe helping her and those companies get their message out because well that's what PR companies do.
She is only being used if she is being spoon fed and not truly thinking for herself you and do not know that. Without you or anyone else disparaging her actually knowing her personally and knowing what's going on in her head its unfair to say she cannot think for herself and thus is being used.
She seems to believe what she is talking about. Off course some of what she says overlaps with Green Energy advocates because its what she wants. Less destruction more green energy and conservation.

So it’s just a series of coincidences that the PR companies are the same? Sure.
The ‘Greta effect’ is nothing more than a co-ordinated hustle to get more money pumped into the ‘green’ economy. She most likely completely believes what she says and honestly more power to her - but it’s becoming more and more obvious that this image is being manufactured.

Well its at the very top end of child exploitation, could be worse, like in some factory putting jeans or smart phones together for pennies. The amoral wheels of capitalism, be that for materialism or green tech start up.

People are weird and make their conclusions based on irrelevant factors. Her age seems to be a big offense to a lot of peoples opinion on her credibility. She doesnt know what shes talking about because shes only 16. Wonder how many of those people have read the Granton report or look at the data coming out of climate analytics? Like she keeps saying, she doesnt want people to listen to her just to listen to the subject matter experts and wake th f up.

If you think that she believes in everything that she says then maybe she is happy for that to happen. For more money to be pumped into Green solutions. Isn't that the point? Helping the planet is finding solutions that don't harm it. Eventually doing away with the conventional to adopt to better solutions.
No better way if you are going green and need support than to open the minds of intelligent youngsters who will be riddled with the consequences of their elders waste and sometimes ignorance.
Either way she is not being used. That whole mantra diminishes her efforts and just reinforces the silly ideas those who dislike her, who are afraid of her and those who won't benefit if she is successful changing minds.
