Current Affairs China and its treatment of minorities

Article in the Ecomomist:

China calls it the biggest emergency-aid operation that it has mounted abroad since 1949, when the Communist Party seized power. Hardly a day goes by without news of Chinese medical supplies, from masks to ventilators, reaching grateful recipients; and of Chinese medical teams flying to foreign countries to help them fight covid-19. Just a few weeks ago China was by far the biggest victim of the new coronavirus, and its government was widely chided for covering up the initial outbreak. Now China is trying to paint a new picture—of itself as a model for taming the disease, and as the world’s saviour.

Like I said, a great bunch of lads.

China should be well represented this year at the Nobel Peace Prize Awards.

Saviour ? They could have address the situation in Wuhan with transparency and contain it much earlier instead of barking at the rest of the world for travel restriction of travellers from China.

Can I be your neighbour? I”kl set fire in your backyard and offer to sell you water lace with alcohol to dose out the flame?

We desperately need the footy to start again so’s he can return his attentions back to Leighton Baines, his plot to destroy Everton and the Barcelona manager elect, Roberto Martinez lol

Yoiu'd snatch their hands off if they offered you a testing kit.

Load of hypocrites here.

Anyway, just to clarify your position:

China = Booooo!

It's about as sophisticated as that.

Surely it would be more like a fire starts in my back garden.

I refuse to call the fire brigade.

The fire then spreads to the back of your house.

I've been donating to the fire brigade and they owe me so I call them and tell them to deny the fire or if seen by any of the neighbours to say that its of no danger to their properties.

I then come round and knock at your front to dispel any fears you have about a fire in my back.

As you are talking to me I can see flames catching within the rear of your property.

I go back home to try and put the fire out.

At this point the whole street is on fire and all the neighbours are calling me in shock and anger but I explain that the fire in my back was only small and is under control.

The back of my house has been completely gutted but non of the neighbours can see in so I deny it.

Something like that kind of neighbourly behaviour

You wanted the Chinese to keep foreign visitors locked down and force them into quarantine? Can you imagine the uproar over that?

It's globalisation mate. You may as blame oxygen for fires.

I should have added that in this story all of the neighbours houses water supply is either not working or just trickling at best.

My water supply is still sound so I use access to my water to gain influence and economic favour and whitewash the fact that the fire spread was my fault.

They lockdown the whole China in late January and forbid all Chinese citizen from travelling amongst province while they condemn other nation for restricting Chinese travellers. how nice of them.
