Three away games in six days was always going to make this extra tough.

The lack of ambition from the manager and lack of desire from a lot of the players was embarrassing though.

I voted Calvert-Lewin Man of the match, he put the effort in and tried to make things happen. His introduction also brought more involvement in the game from both Rooney and Sigurdsson.

I've not seen a single part of the game today but i assume we played poor and quite negative from reading posts.

I also assume that people wanted us to go there and win, playing free flowing attacking football even though we've played in Croatia on Thursday, have weird injury issues, and frankly the fixtures have been horrendous to us.

Can't work out why we didn't win and lacked energy myself.

Had to endure this one from the home end. Agree with the consensus analysis. Thought DCL had a great impact again. Really rate him, he has the brain and temperament for it in addition to the ability. With games I don't see why he couldn't be the regular number 9. Surprised we persevered with the lack of width for so long. It was clear that our full backs would spend more time defending than attacking. A mention for Williams too, who I thought had one of his better games for us.

Alittle bit more of a go would of been nice though.. And not just 5 minutes at the end.

Not losing any sleep over this one. If any fans who travelled to City away, Split away and Chelsea away want to share how tired they feel right now it might give an insight into how the players must be feeling. Yes they are professional athletes with all the modern luxuries but at the end of the day 3 away matches including Europe was always going to be too much.

Pretty much spot on this.

Those fans who went to City, Split and today's game would have also put a shift in their day jobs as well in between those games.

Just watched Arsenal (ya know that expensively assembled team from darn sowf) get propperly schooled.
A settled team with World Class players with a forward line worth more than our whole squad.Beaten by a rampant Liverpool....it happens.
With our turnaround in player personnel , 4 games in 12 days is a massive ask.
This team will take a good while to gel of that there is no doubt.
There is no magic wand to change todays game ,we were playing the Champions on their own patch although disappointing its not the worst defeat we've ever had.
So put it to bed lads & move on , lets look forward to getting out of this horrific run of fixture's ....it will get far better.

Btw Spurs (who many say we are 2 yrs behind) 1 point from 6 at home .

I know what you're saying but we may as well had played the u23's today then you think ? we offered nothing today and was waste of time turning up !

Bad defending first half. Improved second half.

What was frustrating was how much better we looked once DCL came on and we played an actual legit formation with 4 at the back.

Ah well. Not the end if the world. Need a striker and a win against spurs.
