Chelsea are mid table, they can be good...and sometimes not...that's your basic description of Mid Table
Today they were both.
I wonder how long they'll give Potter.

Doucoure was my Man ot M.
Godfrey had the Mare ot M.

Lukaku or Haarland score that goal and you'd never hear the end of it.
Simms does that on even a Semi regular basis...Lukaku-lite* as it were...both he and we may have a future.

*and No, before you start, I don't think he's Lukaku - hence the lite.
I was just saying to a mate ‘that whilst I’m not comparing him to or think he’ll be as good as Lukaku, none of our strikers has scored a goal like that since Lukaku left’.

Just rewatched the 2nd goal, whole move was good. Brilliant pass from Myko to pick out Doucoure, lovely single touch from him into Simms and then great control and a little burst of pace to get in front of Koulibaly, great strength to keep him at bay and a tidy finish. Not sure their keeper could have done more tbh, was close to him so was alway going to be difficult to get down to it.

It was a great goal but I’ve seen him at lower level score similar goals and make it look easy. He completely outdone Koubailly who is no slouch, took a great touch in the box which set him up for the finish which like you say was hit with pace and took early giving the keeper less of a chance. He did well to get an arm on it but it had too much pace to prevent it going in.

Thought everyone played well. I do like how expressive we are going forward whilst also being solid at the back. Bodes well for the future.
I like the directness and it's interesting whether Dyche recruits better players to play direct or we scrape the bottom of the barrel again.

Heard that a few times today. Out strengthening a 100m euro defender known for his power and then smashing it into the net haha.

The situation is a bit bizarre as we saw his goal scoring record at u23 level and wanted him to get his chance.

Sunderland fans are giving it to Chelsea on twitter haha, can’t say how made up I am.
Unbelievable isn’t it mate. Don’t understand some people.
The lad hit it hard and low. Difficult for the keeper as you are instructed to do as a young forward making out.
Across the keeper and keep it down.
Hope Simms Kicks on now as he has attributes that we need.

Watching the highlights on MotD and seeing how Simms brushed-off the hundred gazillion pounds 'Beast' Koulibaly as he ran towards the goal makes me want to shout "Are you watching, D..C..L?!"

I want to see him back but he should sit on the bench and earn his place because I'm sick of the attitude that we can't survive without his papier mache body on the pitch.

it was the shuffle of the ball, albeit slight, from right foot to left, and the burst of pace that left Koulibaly on his arse. Tidy finish too. If he gets one or two more in the next few games it'll help move his career on nicely and build his confidence

Shooting a porn movie, are we?
I didn't give you the credit that your comment deserved yesterday. The lad - I say lad as he was half my age - was sat at the only available table and as soon as he saw my tee-shirt he said he was also an Evertonian. After I showed him your comment I realised what a mistake it was because he may have thought I was looking for a tell in his eyes! To make matters worse he got up to go to the toilet and Chelsea scored. I think all three of us were relieved (well I was at least, Mrs TT is still a bit of a looker even at almost 70) when the game ended and we could escape the situation.

Anyway, well-observed and COYB!

I know the offside rule keeps changing but looking at their first again and pausing it as the shot is taken, is there not a Chelsea player standing just outside the 6 yard box, last man and behind the Everton defenders, and clearly interfering with play??
