But that's why these bent feckers at the FA,will never allow video technology to be fully used,as they immediately lose their main tool to influence results in favour of the selected few !

nailed it there mate - the money people needs control to thrive - the more control the more money they can make at the cost of those being controlled -
reviews should be introduced like in hockey, tennis and other international sport - but the controlling bodies (excuse the pun) will fight the hardest against it -
we the fans should mobilize and put pressure on them to make the playing field level otherwise smaller clubs like us will remain just play things for the big boys

I don't think the referee is corrupt. Just weak. If the game was at goodison and we were 3-2 down looking for an equaliser would a) 7 minutes of injury time be added on b) a further 2 minutes on top of that and c) a clearly offside goal given?

Nothing wrong with the passion between fans and players, I love to see it, but players can celebrate with the fans when we've won, and the games over.

At the end of the day celebrating like we did today, and against Bournemouth, could be the reason for the extra, extra time being put on for those games.
Then in that case the defence playing Terry offside should have been enough.

I'd rather mori appreciate the fans when he should have scored the winner rather than show little emotion like he isn't arsed about it.

He needs shooting
His decision making is horrendous there. Jags misjudges it to but Costa still had work to do to score. Howard made it easy for him. And whilst Terry was clearly offside it was rightly pointed out that there were 3 headers won before he slotted. So gutting to concede 2 goals that were from basic punts upfield and flick ons! We've been troubled by these sort of goals all season and will continue to be so until goalie and/or dominant centre half is sorted. Other than that it seemed we played well.

One day later.... I genuinely can't ever remember being this deflated watching Everton. I'm still so so gutted! When does it get better? Sake Everton.

A decent manager either starts playing Robles or is making moves in the transfer market right now

Woke up this morning still fuming. Tried staying busy all day by building a rotunda. Still fuming.

I couldnt find the quote but i read in this thread earlier people commending the performance? We had a 2 goal lead and pretty much cowered with our tails between our legs. The crowd were dead quiet and we were ontop dominating. Then just dropped off completely and let them do what they pleased.

The first goal was on Howard for the most part but Jags is well past his best as well and it showed last night. Lacking match fitness or not. The second goal was a deflection but you could tell it was coming. We didnt pressure at all and just let them camp in our half. Was always gonna happen in my opinion with the way we were defending. Deflection or not.

That was one of Barkleys worst games for me aside from a few turns and runs. Any good he did he basically undid straight away with bad passing or bad touches. At 2-0 up i would have dragged him for Gibson and shored up the midfield. Backseat driving i guess.

Was it me or did anyone see the 7 mins announced and straight away you had sense we were in trouble?

It honestly felt like the ref was just happy to keep playing until they inevitabley had a chance. It honestly felt like an eternity sitting there with my hands up yelling at my tv that time was up.

Spoke to one of my Chelsea mates today who reckons it was a line ball offside. We arent friends anymore because i raged killed him. When i really think about it, we escaped with a point last week at City after that penalty decision in the final minutes. In my opinion definite pen conceded by Stones.

Anyway back to my weekend of fume.

The difference between the two penalties was interpretation of the foul by the referee, but Terrys goal was down to two officials not applying the laws of the game correctly. Doesnt matter if it was in the first or last minute, the goal should not have stood.

Derbies are different. The Clattenberg Derby was the worst display of refereeing I have ever witnessed. The names Poll and Atkinson don't exactly bring to mind happy memories either.

The point here is that people are confusing corruption/cheating with rank incompetence.

There is some terrible reffing in the PL at the moment. Some of the decisions given in Wednesday night's games were laughable, in particular the Swansea player who was sent off for kicking the ground. lol And when you see the name Lee Mason as the ref for one of our games you know there will be problems ahead.

The standard of refereeing is poor, there is no doubt about that. But to believe that they are taking backhanders whenever an obvious decision goes against us is pure RAWK.
I always thought, giving one team the
Majority of decisions, and all the major ones in a game , whilst blatantly showing bias, was cheating??? Oh well, now I know !:)

All the corruption stuff is nonsense and embarrassing, the officials do favour certain teams, particularly at home but they're not getting brown envelopes for doing so.

I was proper angry at Bournemouth and Stoke, but this is different. Fed up of hearing people saying this was down to game management when the team had done enough to see the game out. Defending is more than just bogging the ball down the other end when you get a chance, and when you don't have the ball it's good defending to step up as a unit and play the attackers into an offside position. This is exactly what we did, it was actually very good defending and with a proper official would have been good game management.

There have been lots of games this year where we needed to close the game out and didn't, and blaming the manager and team in those circumstances is fine because it wasn't down to poor decisions or luck, just poor judgement. It's harsh to say that in this game as the team had actually done enough, were just robbed of two points by extremely poor officials.

Still have that ugly, ugly feeling in me, even the day after. I honestly can't believe that happened. Effin rats them.
Same here mate. And considering we actually left there with a point...imagine how we'd be feeling if that goal had cost us all three.

Much as I agree with our inability to defend, the double hit of the extra added time and blatant offside is proving very difficult to accept. I very much doubt that had the roles been reversed that we would have got such beneficial refereeing.

He leaves his box, if he stays in it and holds back a bit he can dive at Costa's feet and stop the threat.

Jags lost the flight of the ball, that can happen, but he was doing enough to make it difficult for Costa, all Howard had to do is hang back a bit and make sure he could use the massive advantage he has as a keeper, which is to use his hands, by staying in his box.
