We know that it's unlikely . . . . . . . but until it's a mathematical impossibility I will believe IT'S ON

I agree. Every season I always start with hope we can get at the top and be in the race (yes we did get to the top this season I didn't imagine that) but after 10,12,15 games we're usually well out of it. Mid table mediocrity. There is no reason to think we are out of it yet. Far from it. All the pundits and doom merchants will say we don't have the squad we'll fall away etc. Maybe. Many big games left so we might fall away. We shouldn't be bothered about any of them and while we're in it let's make a go for it.

We are contenders no question. Believe!! We beat Leicester and Newcastle at Home and then go across the pennines and tonk Leeds " WOW " win them next three games be absolutely brilliant for the players and their confidence. Up the Toffees.

No, if we get in the Europs League the season is failure, weve done that plenty of times over the last 25 years, it means nothing.

It would mean progression to then qualify regularly and build a team that can challenge domestically. We’ve qualified before but not getting there regularly has been a failure

Sky Sports then.. title contenders Liverpool, United, City and Leicester. Asked what about Everton... the reply...”forget about Everton”.

Keane
Digne
Allan
Dacoure
James
Richarlison
DCL
Godfrey

Just keep these players fit for 20 games and top 4 is very much on. Everyone else can be replaced with other squad players but lose any of above and the performance levels drop too much.

Tbh there’s no way we’re contenders, but in the same way neither are Leicester.

I'd say we are both contenders. If you are within 6-8 points half way through, you are challenging.

I don't massively care either way, and it probably suits the manager and players to not be spoken about as challengers, but the inconsistencies is a bit ridiculous. We have beaten Leicester on the own patch recently.

I don't think our plan is to win something, I think our plan is to have sustainable success.

This. Do that, and the silverware eventually follows. If you're in the running every year, sooner or later your luck is in while everyone else's is out, and you lift a trophy or trophies.

First order of business is to get to European competition and stay there. The second order of business is to get to the Champions League and stay there. Once that happens, we can start reloading instead of rebuilding the way Dortmund does.
