Champions League should be our goal...

No I won't.

I'm entitled to my opinion and I'm basing my opinion on facts, your basing them on predictions and who we have and haven't signed.

I follow football beyond the 90 minutes and I know that matches are always always won and lost on the training ground.

You can sign 10m players just to appease the fans, as Newcastle do, but that doesn't mean [Poor language removed]. Or you can sign the right players for the squad in order to maintain the equilibrium and harmony.

I think we need to back the side, because they are going to be aiming for CL and so is Moyes, and why shouldn't they? We have a bloody good side with some very very good players, and more importantly than that, we have a great team spirit, probably the best in the league.

We need money to push on and make progress in the League. That's been shown in the last few years. We aren't finishing higher until shake une very reech come in and buys us.

How much money did we spend when we finished 4th?

Reality mate, it happened, it wasn't fantasy.

Jesus Christ. Get over it. It was 4 years ago. Times have changed. I'm not saying any more than I absolutely guarantee you we wont finish in the top 4. If you want to know why, look up.

I think we can get 4th spot. That is a realistic goal for a club of our current standing.

I dont, not with the current squad, if it was 11 against 11 and nobody could get injured I would fancy us, but the "reality" is that we dont have a big enough squad or strength in depth to fully challenge.

Maybe that will change, theres still 3 weeks left after all.

Why are you guaranteeing that? What are you basing it on?

Listen pal, and listen good because I am about to lose my rag with this thread.

The thread is about our goal and Champions League is our goal, it's not 5th, it's not survival, it's Champions League. Regardless of what money we haven't spent, we are still up on Arsenal who have sold more than what they have bought.

For the past few seasons teams like Villa, Spurs, Newcastle and City have outspent us, but we have beaten them all to 5th spot. Newcastle even got relegated.

It's about how we perform on the day, how the team spirit is, how the team gels. We have a team and a squad that know each other very well, and it is close knit.

We may well not get 4th, but we can't say that we won't. And you can't say I am deluded in thinking that it is possible because we already ******* well got there, in a season where we were tipped for relegation.

So all your arguments, and reality checks, and delusional posts and I'm talking to Azzbot also, are flawed because the reality happened, and it happened with a squad that isn't a patch on what we have at the moment.

ok?

Support you 100% on that mate - if it's been done before it can be done again - and we'd be better prepared for the CL next year - I know it would be difficult (azzbot and the rest), but its possible, so thats where i'm looking - up!

If we only get mid table mediocrity, then bump this up in may and I will eat every word. We used to yo-yo but not any more. I just think its better being a Toffee now than it has been since that day in 95...

BTW - can't wait for another European night - I took my mates son, who is an 8 yr old Evertonian, to his first game in the family enclosure (so he could see Arteta)- it was against Larissa - he bloody loved it! :D:D

For too long we've expected the worst, and been happy with away draws, etc. We should be confident- I remember the Bolton game last season - I've never felt so at ease during one of our games, knowing that we were outclassing them and would win, even before we scored-

Moyes out!! :D

Well i'm basing my opinion on fact mate. Someone said to me recently that he reckons half the Everton fans want us to fail just to say they told us so. And I think that is very sad.

We don't have to think about the glass is half empty even though it may well be. You would hate that kind of attitude from Moyes and the players and if they said that I know at least one person who would be ****ging them off in his sig.

No your not basing it on fact at all. The only fact you keep reeling off is that it happened 4 years. It means nothing this year.

What are your facts this year? What is your opinion on why we will finish 4th this year? Apart from "it happened 4 years ago"???? Got any? Or is that it???

Like I said and I'm done arguing with your negativity.

Your not basing your oponion on fact mate, in order for it to be fact, it would have already happened and I can assure you that Everton did not finish 4th in 2010, mainly becuase the season hasnt started.

Im not being funny when I say that, that is simply a fact.

Your stating your opinion and im stating mine. I hope to God your right and I can assure you now if we do have a bad season, I wont be saying "I told you so", I will be as upset as the next Everton Fan.

The facts are, Moyes has said he is worried that he hasnt got enough players, I agree with him, you dont, thats fine, if you wish to disagree with the best manager in the world.
