Always had a wee soft spot for Morton. Cappielow is one of those old fashioned grounds where it's great to go and watch football (for the two sunny months a year)

First trip there was in the mid 90's when United got relegated and we played there towards the end of the season, 2-2 draw I think it was.

Still is mate, probably hasn't changed since the 90's either.

Last throw of the dice by the Chairman today as we have signed ex-Rangers striker Nacho Novo until January, with the option to extend his contract until the end of the season.

Should make Saturdays' game against Hamilton a wee bit more interesting.

Yeh guys, I agree. Since leaving Rangers, he's played with Sporting Gijon, Legia Warsaw & Hueseca in the Spanish 2nd division.

He's been playing at a better level than our division, and hopefully he'll be the spark that's been missing from our league form.

Morton 1-1 Hamilton

Delighted with the enthusiasm and effort from the team today and it could easily have been 3 points instead of 1. Nacho Novo was lively from the start and rattled the crossbar with a shot from the edge of the box about 20mins in. Peciar also hit the bar with a header and Page had a header cleared off the line.

Taking a point from the league leaders and second bottom Cowdenbeath also drawing sets up a very tasty encounter for us in Cowdenbeath next Saturday.

Bring it on.

Cowdenbeath 5 -1 Morton

Shocking display from just about everyone in the team today, with Imrie (scorer), Reid and goalkeeper Caraux exempt. it would've been 8 or 9 without him.

Fans were shouting for the managers head and it can surely only be a matter of when, not if.

If the manager gets sacked who will the candidates be? can't see Shiels wanting the job so off the top of my head it could be Billy Brown, Barry Smith or Gus Macpherson. Hardly awe inspiring.

Yeh, totally agree that it's not awe inspiring.

I was talking to a couple of guys at Cowdenbeath yesterday and they had suggested Paul Hartley, who has done very well at Alloa, but I'm not convinced he'd take the job.

Doubt your board would pay the compo Cowdenbeith would want.

I'll drive Alan Johnstone to Morton if you want!

I'd take him right now to be honest.

Anyway,

Raith 2-1 Morton. We were nowhere near as bad as we were last week, but still poor. On the plus side, Nacho Novo scored his first goal for the club and I suspect he'll get a few more during his short-term contract here.

Still rooted firmly to the bottom spot and with Queen of the South winning, we've fallen even further behind.

I know I've been banging on about the manager, but surely he has to go very soon. I realise that he bought himself a wee bit of leeway with the Celtic result and he will get to the League Cup Quarter-final against St. Johnstone on Wednesday, however, if we lose his time is up.

Just home from Greenock and genuinely gutted to lose 1-0 to a last minute goal to St. Johnstone. We equalled them all over the park for 90 mins, but a bad refereeing decision gave them a free-kick in the 90th(+) min. They hit the wall, the idiot ref let them take it again and they scored from it.

The referee's a [Poor language removed]!!!

Moore won't be sacked in the morning after that display, I just wish we had more of that guile in the league games.

Just been drawn away to ICT in the Scottish Cup. Difficult tie and will almost certainly lose, however Inverness is a great day out, so we'll just go and enjoy ourselves.
