Confirmed Signing Cenk Tosun

Fikret Orman (pres. of Besiktas) commented on the transfer of Cenk to Everton.

He said Everton made an offer but nothing is finalized yet. Also he mentioned that a Chinese club bid €35m for Cenk earlier but it was not accepted because Cenk is a valuable player and his opinions matter to him (meaning Cenk didn't want to go to China). On the bright side this means EFC's offer doesn't necessarily need to be higher than 35M, but it should be close.

So knowing the pres. what I am reading from this is:

Besiktas can sell Cenk anytime for a good fee. He is in no hurry.
Cenk definitely wants to play in EPL and he prefers Everton.
EFC bid was good but not enough, it should be higher.
Walsh had a meeting with the vice pres. earlier but there was no agreement.
Reports claiming there was an agreement
but then he raised the price is not true.

Also, he is set to travel to London today for further negotiations with EFC. We will see what happens :) but be aware because he almost always gets what he wants.
What does he even do???

Do you have the quote about Walsh handy? I'm looking to best him with many sticks.

I heard Walsh was seen gorging on pides, köftes, lahmacuns while in Turkey, and also returned with a nice rug from one of the bazaars. A worthwhile trip I'd say.

I don't understand why my citizens would come here to talk Everton/England down.
Their fans have welcomed us for honest and useful discussion.
But also I have to remind you that all the numbers mentioned in media are of pure speculation so no one can blame Beşiktaş here.

If you think Besiktas trying to raise the agreed bid, just take a look at Beşiktaş chairman's interview on November, 2017:
"I'll never sell Cenk below £20 m."

So this is nothing personal :)

btw let me add also a new claim:
Cenk has told the board that if he's not allowed to join Everton, he'll ask for an improved contract.

Hopefully this is all going to end very soon.

A week ago you were calling fellow fans all sorts for not believing Sam Allardyce was the messiah and now you're telling people that they're mad for not believing we're going to get relegated. I can't keep up.

You would probably be able to "keep up" if you were capable of actually understanding what people said rather than make things up as you go along.

Never once have I referred to, nor indeed implied or indicated, that I thought Sam was a "Messiah".

All's I ever said was let's give him a chance before writing him off.

Nor did I call fellow fans "all sorts".

That is not ol' Khal's way.

However, I will make an exception, just for you.

You are telling porkies.

Because I have never said anyone was "mad" for not believing we will "get relegated".

I have merely pointed out that it takes a certain kind of fool to deny that we are another defeat or two away from being drawn into a very uncomfortable position near the final relegation place, especially as that belief is based solely on the premise that no matter how bad we might be, other teams are worse and the possibility of them improving a bit is totally discounted.

And you sir, are looking extremely like that certain kind of fool.

And that is why you feel the need to lament the fact that you feel a continual need to "bang on" about this and other subjects "for weeks".

No one seems to be listening to you......you should ask yourself why.

Your ranting never registers with anyone beyond the minute or two it takes to read your ill informed posts.

Yet you claim to have an in depth knowledge of what I have posted.....though your memory of such posts has strayed greatly from the reality of what was said in them.

Strange behaviour indeed, Mr. L.

But have a very Happy New Year :pint2:
