Carra the clown to get the push?

Wow - that's quite remarkable to have let him off the hook. I can't wait until there's a spitting incident next season with him analysing the game.

I think they still might quietly part ways with him the summer, what's he done isn't going to go away and it will forever be brought up whenever he dares rips into a player for his character in future. He's destroyed this image he made for himself as brutally frank but all-round decent ex-footballer who is a good judge of character. The whole world now has seen him for what he really is, a horrible little scally who thinks he can bully and intimidate people.

This episode will forever hang over him.

That little spiel in his book that someone posted up the other day about Lucas Neill shows him for what he is and it's written like he's bragging about it.

The Sky Sports football pundit Jamie Carragher has been suspended by the broadcaster until the end of the season after spitting in the direction of a 14-year-old girl following a verbal exchange with the teenager’s father over Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat by Manchester United.

A Sky Sports spokesman said: “Following an internal review, Sky has suspended Jamie Carragher for the remainder of the football season.

“Jamie has taken full responsibility for what has happened and we will ensure he gets the help he needs to guarantee something like this never happens again. Before the start of the next season we will sit down with Jamie to discuss whether he is ready to return to his role.”

Good that sky are getting the right help to those who need it.

I take it the help he needs is a spit hood.

Ah well.... it seems the RS Special Dispensation Committee now has a new hastily convened Sub-Committee at Sky. Probably a wise move as, considering the amount of LFC former players they employ, they will no doubt come into their own with regular use.

The police wish to speak with him, I wonder how they will treat an attempt to spit in the eye of the driver of a moving vehicle.........

Not at all surprised by this , I said yesterday spitting is an assault and neither a child nor it’s parents can consent to any assault. Carragher has fully admitted the offence and apologised for it all of which puts him in a sticky situation. If the family don’t cooperate and there is no statement I’d suggest there is a public order offence in that he’s caused harassment, alarm and distress . I think legally he’s committed an offence , whether it ends up going anywhere is different but the presence of a child certainly makes things worse for him.
