Benitez left LFC in 7th... this season they finished... 7th.
Sound good to me. I will go for 7th until the a new high revenue stadium is built. The fact is LFC have dipped since he left. I do not care about LFC and only that he is the man for the job. What a pedigree!!!

An obvious wum, poor effort.

Do you sit there sniggering at your 'hilarious' wind up attempts, before your Ma shouts you down for your fish fingers?

I don't want Benitez so I am not supporting him but I think Rodgers and Dalglish have took the team backwards since his days.

In the last year of the Benitez spell was the H&G era and the purse strings had been pulled, the team Rafael built (Alonso, Mascherano, Arbeloa, Garcia, etc) was demolished. Rafael was largely responsible for the change in ownership by flushing the bad apples out (unlike Moyes who supported out board). The managers proceeding him have had good backing which I am sure Rafael would of done a lot better with.

Wouldn't really know if MM is the right man but can assume that if Moyes rhinks he fits the Bill (inserts obvious pun) he might be right. Whether finding another Moyes is the way to go is again a matter of some debate. If MM is tactically astute then that will be what we need along with a man who can manage the player's egos. Fortunately, with the odd exception, we don't have too many big egos in the squad. What we have is a lot of grounded hard working players. The ones that need a good eye kept on them are Fellaini (may be off), Heitinga (may be off) and Pienaar (occassionally moody). Otherwise I would say a decent coach has a good chance of building on the Moyes legacy - provided there are no obvious trailblazers in the team we will be fine.

Mascherano left after Benitez... Tightened purse strings? In his last window he spent 38,000,000 on Johnson, AQUILANI and Kyrgiakos. Keep on wumming mate.(y) He started the downfall with his ineptness and messrs Hodgson, Dalglish and Rodgers have been all to happy to follow his lead. Woy was the manager who suffered from the 'tightened' purse strings and they got rid of him soon enough so that King Wendy could splurge 85,000,000 on Carroll, Downing, Henderson, Adam and Coates. Brenton continued this with 28,000,000 on Allen and Borini. And yet after all of these calamities they are still where Benitez left them!

I do not write to please a dunderhead like you. Benitez is by far the best candidate if Chelsea let him go. It is that simple. Now go back to throwing darts at your LFC pictures.

Hi Lads

Firsty, congratulations on another decent season.

I have registered to discuss your feelings on the possibility of Malky becoming your new boss....

How would you feel if he did ?

I've read a few things on the forum regarding Malky and i've got to say, a lot of posts are completely wrong.

Malky is one of those leaders that gets the best out of his players. He, albeit a bit naive (which is normal for a young Manager), knows how to win games and his teams can play ANY sort of Football. I've seen a post suggesting we are a long ball team. We are a long ball team when we need to change our gameplan. Malkys teams play different styles to match who we are playing.

Budgets: In Malkys first season, he turned up to his first training session with 10 players and had to use academy lads and a few of Dave Jones' dregs from our previous regime. We finished in the playoffs and almost beat Liverpool in the League Cup.

This season, we spent around £11 Mill and comfortably got promoted. Blackburn spent £8 mill on J.Rhodes, Leicester had previously spent £10+ Mill so to win the Championship was a class act.
It's a tough, tough league that can ruin Clubs (Wolves)

On the basis of what I have said, we don't want to lose Malky as we are building things here and he is the man we feel, that can build stability and growth in the Premier League.

Wouldn't begrudge him leaving, as you're a huge club compared to ours so hopefully, Kenwright listens to your faithful and goes for Martinez.....

If you'd like to know anything else about how he operates, just ask

GrangeEnd

Good stuff and thanks.

Welcome to the Premier League.

That's a quality post and no mistake. Not even Benitez would have the brass neck to come to Goodison notwithstanding the mob with pitch forks that would not let him within half a mile of the place.

Should be arrested if he even thinks about coming here
