Captain Sensible

What do you expect him to do? Mark every single man in the box himself and bicycle kick out out of our box, over the opposition goalkeeper Sensible-Soccer-style?

I mean come on, he's been probably one of our better players this season (I know that's not saying much). It's typical for you lot to try and find a scapegoat, but Jagielka isn't it so go do one.
We're not looking for a scapegoat, we're looking for someone who will kick a few arses on the pitch when necessary. Mirallasgate was the catalyst for me.

Are you geninuely saying that our downturn in form is due to our choice in captain?

I can't even...
Jesus. No, I'm not saying that. I'm saying our upturn in form will be helped greatly if we had someone with a bit of clout wearing the armband. Can you imagine someone like Roy Keane putting up with what's going on at the moment?

It might not change the tactics but it might inject a bit of fight.

Is that all you've got? I thought you were about to give me some sort of sage insightful information.

So do you think Naismith (your original choice) doesn't try and 'inject a big of fight' now? Like he just wonders round saying nothing to the others because he hasn't got a pieced of white elastic on his arm?

The captain is the manager's choice but he's also the mouthpiece of the team. I can truly imagine Jags not passing on the players' grievances purely because he doesn't like confrontation and also doesn't like to make a scene.

I mean, would you like him as your union rep?

And you've based this on what?

Also what stops Naismith (your choice) just speaking to the manager anyway if he's got a grievance?
