I mean come on, he's been probably one of our better players this season (I know that's not saying much). It's typical for you lot to try and find a scapegoat, but Jagielka isn't it so go do one.

We're not looking for a scapegoat, we're looking for someone who will kick a few arses on the pitch when necessary. Mirallasgate was the catalyst for me.

I know what you are saying. But a captain does not have to be a shouter. Jags plays as a good example to others. Hardly misses a game. As long as he talks the players around the pitch then he is ok to continue.

Once again, the Mirallas penalty incident. Another reason for Baines not to be considered either.

Naismith has won me over. But there is no way I would have him captain. If you are going down the vocal avenue I remember Seamus having a right go at Phil Neville for not playing him in. He had only just got into the first team then. So if it was to be taken off Jags maybe Seamus is the man.

What about Coleman, the right age, always starts, never backs down, been at the club years now. It's between him and Baines for me but I doubt Baines would want it.

Baines would be a bad appointment. I don't know how many times I have to mention the Mirallas penalty incident.

The captain is the manager's choice but he's also the mouthpiece of the team. I can truly imagine Jags not passing on the players' grievances purely because he doesn't like confrontation and also doesn't like to make a scene.

I mean, would you like him as your union rep?
